Shower cubicle needs updating
Located just outside the city and close to the beach. Fantastic view from the room/balcony on the 2nd floor. Good breakfast. Nice staff and service.
Aircondition was shot off 1am to 6am making the room too hot to sleep in this time of the year. When opening the doors to the bacony to get some air/wind in the room at night the was quite a lot of noice from cars/scooters etc.
Man in reception didnt speak english. Room was lets say very sporty. It was for the first time in my life when I said: "no, and then go to another hotel". I paid one night for canceling my reservation. It was still cheaper than to stay.
If you walk to the hotel from the port where Moby ferries dock (as opposed to taking a cab), be prepared for an uphill journey! Signs to the hotel disappear after you leave the commerical streets. Turn left at the park and start the ascent past all the other hotels. Villa Padulella is all the way up the hill. The hotel front is beautiful, with an abundance of brightly-colored potted plants.
The shower was a curtain on a plastic floor-track. It did not trap the water and the entire bathroom floor was soaked if you took a shower that lasted more than five minutes.
