Found a tick in our room
Big nice room and the staff was great.
There was an extra charge for our dog that wasn't noted when we booked. The first room they gave us smelled like cigarettes even though it was nonsmoking.
The staff at this hotel was amazing and very professional - will stay again anytime passing through Redding
The hotel was clean and had plenty of room for us.
there was a fridge that had a very high pitched hum. It was so irritating we had to unplug it.
The staff we awesome, helpful, knowlegable, friendly.
Too many things not working, all vending machines, chair lift, tv, poor parking ligbting, outside door locks, a lot of deferred maintenance.
Easy to get to from the freeway. The restaurant had good food and service.
The internet was slow. The telephones were not working.
There was no coffee available in the lobby unless you went to the restaurant and paid for it.
Very comfortable beds and clean rooms!
We asked for a late checkout (at noon). In the meantime, between 10:30-11:30 we had 4 separate maids knock on our door. We had to tell each the same thing about late checkout.and why did maid #1 came at our door a half an hour before regular checkout?
Pleasent front desk. Easy room access.
It is pretty clean. Facility is pretty new.
I had a breakfast on Sat morning. Service was slow and not pleasant. The Western omelette was not tasty. I can only finish 1/3 of it. Very disappointed. I had to go out for breakfast on Sunday.
It was a good location. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
For the price you pay, it should include a breakfast or at least a discount for breakfast in their restaurant.
The cleanliness of the hotel.
The quickness of room service ane was great food..
Not a thing
It's closer to the freeway and to Sundial Bridge which we visited the following day.
The room needed updates like the carpet and the coffee maker doesn't have a glass base for the brewed coffee.
The Tv would not turn off!!! We had to call to have the maintenance guy come up pull the dresser out and push the reset button every time frustrating!
It was close to our destination, and had restaurants within walking distance. The room was perfect for our family. The pool and spa area were nice. The restaurant had a pretty good breakfast that wasn't as overpriced as some of the other hotel chains.
I'm not sure if it was the hotel or the rambunctious children on the second floor. We woke up early in the morning to the sound of the children in the room above us running back and forth in their room and playing loudly.
Great bed, linens and towels. Did provide one roll out bed at no cost.
Could not provide a room with 2 beds and our second daughter had to sleep on a chair
Room and bathroom was new and very clean.
Pool was small and open in the front of hotel. The room I was given was next the very busy back elevator which made constant noise disrupting our sleep plus the freeway noise. The hotel overall was much less than I expected from the photos and rating.
this holiday inn is the worst
the staff is bad the I got a smoking room even the hotel was not full
Our room was very dusty and we have allergies to it.The fitness room was of very poor quality.
NOTHING... I HAVE HEARD THAT HOLIDAY INN IS SUPPOSED TO BE A EXCELLENT CHOICE... BUT I GET TREATED BETTER AT BEST WESTERN HOTEL THAN I DID HERE. DONT THINK I WILL PUT MY FAMILY THROUGH THAT AGAIN. I TRAVEL FROM SO CAL TO NO, CA ONCE A MONTH. BAD EXPERIENE
THE KEYS DIDNT WORK THE 2ND NIGHT I STAYED AND THEY WERE NOT VERY ACCOMIDATING
The entrance was attractive
The keys would not work, had to walk clear around hotel to front desk because ethe key would not give access to outside door. And then the new key would not open hotel room door.
Location. Comfortable beds.
$10 charge for room with 2 beds.
Poor quality air conditioning unit was loud I'm not very efficient.
Impressive exterior, spacious and clean room,
Analog TV signal. Only one elevator for this big hotel. Awkward furniture arrangement making desk almost useless. Only one public computer and printer.
The location was good relative to things in town.
Staff was not accommodating to requests. Shampoo was half full in room. Beds were not comfortable. AC ran often and loud. Poor layout of furnishing. Getting to pool was a trek from any room.
The bed was comfortable. The location was good.
Yes, 'pet friendly?' Ha! Could not leave my dog in the room, $20 extr chg for my 4 pound chihuahua, would not allow my little dog in pool area. It was 90 degrees out, couldn't leave her in the car to die! I came for the pool. VERY DISSAPOINTED!
Room was clean. Nice Hotel overall.
The receptionist was busy with her phone and didn't direct me to the right entrance. There were 4 entrances and the elevator was in the 4th entrance. She didn't give me the right instructions. Went from one entrance to the other to find elevator.
Staff was not very friendly
Staff was friendly.
The beds had been made but obviously the sheets had not been changed. There were black hairs all over the bed sheets. We were given another room and the sheets hadn't been changed in that room and there was spoiled milk spilt in the refrigerator.
The gave us a room facing the freeway and when we asked for a quieter location they said they were full. The parking lot sure didn't look crowded. I think they give Priceline customers the less desirable rooms.
It was fine. That's exactly what it was. Fine. Not a 3 star situation, maybe 2 or 2.5. Internet worked without a problem and the bed was comfy with nice sheets and pillows. Parking is easy (obviously, it's Redding!).
The towels were thin and very scratchy, bathroom could have used an additional cleaning. Hallways were dirty and stingy, giving the whole thing an old (but not vintage) feel. Room was poorly arranged and cramped.
5 attempts to get a room. Keys didn't work several times. Allergy suffer then given a pet friendly room. Second floor reeked like a smoking lounge, Full luggage on and out 5 times to back of hotel. Last room toilet had to be fixed.
location and lobby was above average nice.
our room was not 3 star level. It was dirty, carpet was visibly filthy and the bathroom was not clean.
Not well Maintained. Toilet kept running even after notifying front-desk and presumably fixed - with a rubber band - seriously!. Had to put my hand in the tank and fix chain. Nothing was offered as compensation for the inconvenience, even when asked.
poorly cleaned bathroom
The hotel itself was nice, but I was NOT told about the motorcycle event taking place. I booked the room on priceline the night before so that I could break-up a really long drive from Oregon to California. I
I asked for a quiet room and was given a room on the motorcyle obstacle course. I asked for a quiet room and.. 'Well, it is motorcycle Week - and you knew that when you checked in' and no offer of assistance. Bc I booked on Priceline, I had no recourse.
The hotel looked very nice and looked like it had recently been remodeled. The young man at the front desk was delightful, pleasant and helpful.
YES. We had a nonsmoking room BUT as you got off the elevator the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the hallways was awful and invaded the room. I would not stay there ever again for that reason.
First night they only had a handicapped room with a very small bed. I had to beg them for a better room the second night. They said that I asked for a handicapped room which is untrue. I will not use Priceline again. Please take me off of your email.
Our room was basically ON the parking lot, cars were parked right in front of the window. I indicated when making the reservation that I needed a room for TWO ppl, we got a room with a double bed and had to pay extra for a roll-away bed!
Clean bathroom. Ample parking.
Waited 45 minutes just to check in because only one staff member on call during labor day weekend. Many angry stranded guests. Reminded me of hassles of flight delays. Hotel staff told us that Priceline reservations never guarantee non-smoking.
Our overall stay was very good. To be a 5 star rating for us would have included a free breakfast and indoor spa. We got a coupon for the breakfast and it still came to over $20. The breakfast was adaquate but nothing spectacular. Dinig room was pleasant and the service was great.
In a busy business district but still very quiet inside.
Great room for the price. Cheaper than Hotwire. The room was clean and nicely decorated.
First, we had to change reservations from a 'non changeable' reservation. They were very understanding about the change and allowed it to happen. Then the stay; everyone was so nice and the hotel was immaculate. They even had two types of pillows, firm and soft! This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had and we have stayed in hundreds.
We stopped here for a quick nights rest on our road trip back to Seattle. This HI has a very easily accessible location, and is close to many restaurants, which is perfect after a long day's worth of driving. Service at the front desk was great, and the room was quite large. I loved the fact that they had rooms designated for pet owners close to an exit for easy access to the outside. My only gripe about this trip was the parking lot in the back, which was very dark, and was messy due to construction. Apparently they should be done with all the noise and mess in a month. Other than that, I would probably stay here again the next time we have a road trip.
Great location for restaurants and shopping- Clean & comfortable hotel with a great view officials mountains. Food was very tasty and well prepared, not free but excellent food! Could have stayed for a very long time!
We got to the Holiday Inn late (midnight). The clerk was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nothing showed any signs of wear. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. We had breakfast Fri am . Food was good, but the waitress seemed a little overworked ,and only hinted at friendliness at the end of the meal at tip time.Still I wont let one person having a bad day ruin my opinion of an otherwise fine hotel. We would just never have breakfast there again. The people in the bar later were fine. We would definately be happy to stay there again.
I'm a business traveler generally in hotels one-two nights per week (mostly Hiltons, Marriotts, Sheratons, and Renaissance Spas). I have stayed away from Holiday Inns because of the usual condition of the accommodations, the noise, and the bad experiences that I have had in Holiday Inns (guys fixing their car bumper on the railing outside of my door--exterior doors). This Holiday Inn is the exception, by far. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The room was VERY comfortable. The room was quiet (and I'm a stickler for quiet). The business accommodations were good in the room (Internet, etc)and there were reasonable restaurants in very close proximity. I did ask for a room away from the traffic because I'm a light sleeper and they were able to handle my request. I would highly recommend this hotel to any business traveler.
