The rooms were nice and the beds were great!
It was on a busy street and you could hear traffic.
Nice and Clean Good breakfast buffet Business center Free parking and wifi
Large room. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Excellent value.
The employee maintaining the breakfast area stopped refilling items by 0930, even though breakfast is supposed to be available until 1000.
Room was clean and spacious. Bed was almost as nice as mine at home. Quiet in hotel which was a surprise for the area. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need, even answering my kids endless questions.
Great staff, Nicely decorated, everything was neat and handy
Recently remodeled with beautiful designer touches. Comfortable bedding and nice toiletries.
Unappealing lobby - 'interesting' characters loitering in front of the hotel smoking.
Clean, modern, room. The room looked brand new!
Very nice decor, nice bed and linens, clean and quiet, had everything I needed.
They charged me a $100 deposit for incidentals. I didn't use any extras and my account still hasn't been credited. When I checked in the guy at the front desk did not speak clearly, and I still didn't understand him. Unfriendly front desk staff.
Room is really nice.
during my stay, after 11:30PM the wifi became so weak: extremely slow to refresh a webpage. Seems the hotel has no solution for that. During daytime the wifi is OK.
This hotel is newly remodeled. Great job! They have a very nice breakfast area and tasty breakfast items.
The hallways had a very unpleasant smell from the new carpets (maybe the glue). The good news it does not carry over into the rooms! There are areas that have not been refurbished as yet (a work in progress. There was only one driveway to enter and exi
Great room, great tub. Classy breakfast area.
El Camino Real is a lame location.
Staff was very friendly and courteous and our stay over Xmas was delightful despite the renovations in progress.
Very clean and friendly! All employees were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help.
I stay here on business travel 6-10 times per year, usually for a week at a time. The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Free breakfast is great: fruit, cereals, bacon/sausage, eggs, etc, etc. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.
This was my second stay at this hotel , the first one was last March 2011 and found out that they have better amenities than the other hotels in the area where I stayed. I felt very safe because the rooms were not easily accessible from the outside. The parking area is also very safe as there is only one entrance and exit. Will book with this hotel in the future.
I stayed at this hotel in February 2010. It was quiet, clean and reasonalbly priced. It was also close to expressways, shopping and restaurants. On the other hand, it wasn't the most modern place, there weren't many amenities and the heater was a bit loud. Overall, though, I thought it was a good value. The free breakfast was a nice touch...and the warm cinnamon rolls were fantastic! At first glance, I could see where people might be a little nervous about the area around the hotel, but I felt 100% safe there (and I was a single female traveler).
We had to drop off our daughter to Stanford university for the first time and It was only 10 minutes away. The hotel is quite new. The staffs were frendly and the room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was included with the stay which was great.
The staff were helpful and polite, the room was clean and well-kept and the breakfast room is real plus. We had no idea in advance, however, that the hotel was replacing carpeting - our room had the new carpeting, but also had a strong odor of carpet adhesive... and the morning we checked out we were awakened by thumping and pounding - the carpetlayers were working in a room near ours. I've stayed at this location 3 times before, the first time it was Hampton Inn, subsequently it has been a Holiday Inn Express. It is nearby to a social event we regularly attend so we've tried to make a habit of staying there. Sadly, the neighborhood has gone downhill. Within 5 minutes we saw police investigating a break-in down the street and another pair of officers pulling a car full of young men over to the curb next to the hotel. In the covered parking area there was a man sitting on the ground drinking from a paper bag. None of this made me feel secure. There is another Holiday Inn Express about a mile south, also on El Camino Real. We had friends stay there who had a more pleasant stay. I hope the hotel management gets involved with the Chamber of Commerce and city government to improve the surrounding neighborhood. They have a good property - externals are impacting the experience.
We arrived late for a whirlwind weekend getaway. The receptionist at the front desk was friendly and helpful. That attitude extended to all the staff we encountered. We found that not only was the location convenient to San Jose and San Francisco, shopping and dining were all within walking distance of the property. We booked a King Executive NS room. The room was large with a comfortable bed, plenty of pillows and very nice decor. The bathroom was spacious as well, though the towels weren't quite soft enough. It was sparkling clean and all the amenities were as advertised. Breakfast was far more than muffins, coffee and juice. And, the breakfast room was clean and sunny. It's my understanding that outdoor activities are quite close too, but we just didn't have time for everything. However, we'd love to get back to the area and we'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
We arrived around 8:30PM, and checked out at 9:00AM the next day - brief stay. We had free covered, but unsecured parking, 2 queen beds, clean room, coffee in room, great included breakfast. Had access to TV and free internet. I'd stay there again.
