Located 150 metres from the cathedral and less than a 3-minute walk from the city centre, Hôtel De La Cathédrale welcomes you to the heart of Reims. Choose among 17 personalized rooms which are accessed by a staircase and can accommodate up to 4 people. All rooms boast their own toilet and bathroom and include an LCD TV with cable channels. Free Wi-Fi access is provided. Continental breakfast is served every morning in the breakfast room. A gluten-free breakfast is also available upon request. Pros:Overall, everything the accommodations at this hotel were above acceptable. The double rooms are a little tight for 2 couples, but manageable since we were rarely inside. We didn't interact much with staff, they seemed accommodating and agreeable. The bathroom was fine, slightly precarious bathtub/shower combo that could use somewhat better enclosure, but completely function with good water pressure. The most redeeming aspect of the hotel was the location. It was at a perfect intersect with the Notre Dame of Reims and the commercial district with lots of shopping and restaurants. There is also a tourism center near the cathedral through which we found an excellent tour to some champagne houses.
Cons:Nothing in particular to complain about, everything was to acceptable standards.
Pros:The hotel was in a good location and well located for walking round Reims. The beds and room were generally ok but the hotel itself was in need of upgrading, For the price we paid we were happy with the hotel and would use again for overnight stay.
Cons:No lifts so had to carry bags up the stairs.
