Richmond International Airport is located 7 miles away from Richmond, Virginia and two hours from Washington, D.C. The airport can also be easily accessed from Virginia Beach and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The upper level also contains security checkpoints as passengers pass from the atrium into the separate concourse areas. Directions to Richmond Airport

You can travel to the Richmond International Airport from all directions. For passengers and visitors traveling from the West, there are two routes available. Option 1 is to take I-64E to Exit 197A Airport Drive). Follow Airport Drive into the airport. Option 2 is to take I-295E to Exit 31 (Airport Drive). Follow Airport Drive into the airport. The directions are similar if you are traveling from the East, but you must take I-64W to Exit 197A or I2-95W to Exit 31 and follow Airport Drive into the airport. If you're traveling from the North, take I-95 S to I-64E and use Exit 197 A OR take I-95S to I-295E and take Exit 31. Both exits lead to Airport Drive, which will lead you right to Richmond International Airport. If you're traveling from the South, you can take I-95N to I-64E and take Exit 197A to Airport Drive or take I-95N to I-295E and take Exit 31 to Airport Drive.

Concourse A

Concourse A is located on the upper level of the Richmond International Airport and is served by AirTran, American, and US Airways airlines. To get to Concourse A, travelers must pass through the airport atrium and through the security checkpoint. Once inside the concourse, travelers may access restrooms, food, and beverages. Wireless Internet is available free of charge.

Concourse B

Concourse B is located on the upper level of the Richmond International Airport and is served by Continental, Jet Blue, Delta, Northwest, and United Airlines. To get to Concourse B, travelers must go through the centrally-located atrium and through a security checkpoint. Once you have passed into Concourse B, you can access food, beverages, and restrooms.
