The hotel was average but we found a hypodermic needle in the towels, this really caused me to wonder about how well the room had been cleaned.
The desk clerk responded quickly to my complaint.
The room was very warm and the air conditioner would not operate for more than a few minutes. The mattress was very hard; almost like sleeping on the ground. The Priceline bid placed me in a smoking room which would have been unexceptable.Could not recommend the hotel to families or anyone who does not tolerate a small, hard mattresses. Priceline needs to do a better job notifying their customers that they may be placed in a smoking room.
Convenience to amenities.
Was a little dated.Nice but needs updateing.
Easy check-in, ample parking, nice desk and great free wi-fi speeds. Lots of hot water.
The odor of the hotel was pretty bad and the doors are very thin.Overall, this was a good experience for the money. A 2-star hotel that's good enough for most travelers. Nothing luxurious about it though.
Staff was very friendly, and the extra amenities like free wifi and free breakfast really help save money when you're trying to travel on a budget.
There wasn't much I didn't like... room cleanliness could have been a little bit better, but nothing to really complain about or mention. Also, the doors and walls seemed a little thiner, but I still slept great. This hotel is a great value if you like to save money and stay at a pretty decent hotel. The rooms were spacious and the beds were pretty comfortable. I don't think I woke up once during the whole night, and that's pretty unusual for me. The staff was very friendly, and always happy to help. The location is really nice... right off the interstate, but you couldn't hear much noise from the interstate. The free amenities like breakfast and wifi are always a huge value and greatly appreciated. The only negative things I could say are that the walls and doors seemed thin... thankfully there wer...
people were in the hallways until 2:30 in the morning and being very loud. So we were not able to sleep. The hotel was clean and staff were very pleasant. The breakfast did not meet up to the other hotels we stayed in on this trip.
Location was good
The room we were assigned smelled of smoke so badly that we couldn't stay. Air freshener did not work. They refused to move us to another room. We checked out and went to another hotel nearby. We will not return to this hotel.Clerk claimed she couldn't change the room assignment. Only when we walked out did she offer to get manager to help.
Location to eating places
Second Quality Inn and second smoking room. Last one I couldn't get non-smoking because they were booked. Convinced they save smoking rooms for Priceline customers.Clean, but my floor even smelled like a smoking area even before I walked in the room.
Apology made by staff trying to find us a none smoking room
The smoking king size bed room we were stuck with. Used bottle and a half of frebres and still smelled it the next morning. Still washing clothes, overnight bags, and car. Really going to think twice before doing this again.Staff tried to help, but nothing was avaiable to fit our needs.
Location is close to restaurants and shopping, as well as the interstate.
The rooms smell like stale cigarette smoke but we were told they are in the process of replacing all the carpets. The location is in the newer part of Richmond, close to shopping and restaurants, as well as near the college campus. The hotel still allows pets but apparently also at one time allowed in-room smoking, based on the lingering odor in the rooms. The staff told us they were in the process of replacing the carpets so hopefully that will help. We had zero issues with the pets in the hotel, from either odor or noise.
