It is right across from The Mayo Clinic and you get free parking !!
We did not know about their new policy about dogs. We had to pay a $25.00 non-refundable pet fee. I thought this fee was high. This is an older hotel, but it is located in a good location. We just had to walk across the street for our appointment. There are also eating places close by.
Location. Staff. Wonderful, price
No. Not for the priceOld Ned's work. But clean with friendly staff
I needed a last minute place to stay. So I booked the room through price line. And there was a mix up in the room not being clean. I called down and they got me a new room and upgraded me for the in convince would definitely go back.the over night staff is who I had tthe pleasure of dealing with. And they know how to treat their guest.
Large room. price.
Elevator was very slow and felt unsafe. Room was not handicap friendly. Tub did not look clean.I would never stay there again. Did not feel safe there.
bed was comfortable
the check in time was really late. the front desk staff gave us the key to see if the room was clean. the room was 8X12 very small for the amount spent on it. good thing the bed was comfortable that was all we had to sit on. no frig in the room.over all this hotel served the purpose a place to go to when we where not at the hospital. the rooms could be a little bigger (our room was 8x12) and have a frig in the room with a place to sit. the staff could be a little friendlier and smile and better dressed not so sloppy. check in times are too late in the day.. their check out time was 12:00 and check in time was 4pm.
The staff is great and the location is special to get to the Mayo quickly.
They need to invest in larger wastebaskets and new toilet seats.
The bed was nice and the location was excellent.
The bathroom was horrible. You had to step up 4 inches to get into the bathroom. The tub conversion to shower was horrible, with pipes sticking out of the bathtub. Sticky residue on the bottom of the tub from multiple mats. I would not use this tub. This is a very old building, understandable. The location is excellent. If you just needed a place close to Mayo for a night its fine. Any longer and I would pass. The bathroom is awful and having to step up into it is a huge safety risk. If you were in poor health or a senior citizen this is not your bathroom. The in wall a/c unit is fine but you can not shut the curtains so the light is coming in all night. The bed was very nice, actually slept well on it. The staff was marginal at best. Called for directions and the person on the phone could not give me directions and I was only 3 blocks away. The building was clean but not excellent. I u...
Location is right next to the Mayo Clinic.
It is old, and noisy.Excellent location. Not a place to relax after a long day of appointments. Noise from the street, bad lighting/electrical problems. Old building, so wasn't 'hotel' like. Not worth the XXX+ a night.
Lots of Character and very 'cozy'
No-loved it!Very good location downtown, easy parking, good restaurants very near by, warm and cozy feeling..much like a home bedroom. Good views and charming, well updated old hotel!Lots of character, clean and a great value.
