I/we thought the desk staff was very in-polite. Not a warm welcome and seemed bothered by doing their job.
The front desk girls were super sweet and very accomidating.
Staff gave us whatever service we asked for, politely. Answered our phone calls.
Towels were small and few. Bottom bed sheet was not a fitted sheet, and came loose before the night was over.We thought that overall it was a good value for the price.
The whole place smelled like cigarette smoke. The staff was too busy smoking to help customers.Very unprofessional.
The rooms are average and clean.
The continental breakfast was basicOverall for the price the hotel is good. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean.
easy to find from Interstate
When I protested I was in a smoking room, the night clerk made no effort to offer me a different room. I had inadvertently selected 'smoking' when reserving, but that would be my fault, and perhaps the Priceline page. Still, no change offered.Breakfast was available and cheapest possible components. Room was tidy, but a smokers room, including a dirty ashtray.
Highway 80 was shutting down and we booked at reasonable cost, the price skyrocketed later. The girl at the front desk was great. The room she put us in originally was full of beds sideways, and she efficiently moved us to a nicer room anyway.
It is what it is, it's a one star hotel, and if that is what you need, you are good to go here. The hotel and breakfast are Super 8 and you will not feel like you are in a Holiday Inn Express. But it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The stranger thing is to explore a bit about the history of this town, and take a cruise downtown. My daughter made the comment, 'wow something died in this town.' We were trying to figure out if it was coal, or some other industry, but the truth is far stranger. So, if you do not pay Highway 80 is closed prices, this hotel is fine, but the town will definitely scare you.
Pool and hot tub
Wasn't very clean, hall ways looked like they hasn't been vacuumed for a few months, bathroom in room had mold on bottom of shower curtain and the wall and floor in bathroom was dirtyThe back door that they tell you to go in to from the parking lot is broken and never open it won't open with your key, the continental breakfast is a few horrible tasting waffles and packaged cinnamon rolls that remind me of food you buy at the $1 store
