Bed was not comfortable and sheets were so stiff you could hear them across the room with the slightest movement. Idk, maybe that's why bed was uncomfortable. Weddings being held at hotel had loud intoxicated guests roaming halls all nite.
Shower, bed, very comfortable and luxurious. Accommodated my request to stay in a quiet room. Planes flying overhead is definitely noticeable but not disturbing.
The primary purpose of my stay was to have a stress free location to have lunch during the break period of an exam I was taking at a nearby convention center. I arranged to have lunch delivered to my room in the short lunch break I had and despite confirming multiple times that it would be delivered at 11:45 I was very disappointed and panicked to find it wasn't waiting for me. When I arranged the lunch in the morning I was adamant about the delivery time and warned that it was possible I might not be in the room. I was never told this would be a problem. When I called to inquire about the missing lunch, I was told it was against company policy to leave a meal in the room, and they "didn't know who I could have spoken with that would have taken the order". This was truly disappointing because not only was I incredibly stressed (having prepared for this exam for 6 months and needing to return for the afternoon session in less than 30 minutes) but I also felt patronized that I could have fabricated speaking with someone about the topic. I would expect so much more out of a luxury hotel like this. Ultimately they were able to fast track a meal that I ate in about 6 minutes, but were nice enough to not blink in providing me a $70 bill for the food. I returned to the afternoon portion of the exam stressed and flustered when I should could have been calm. I wouldn't have arranged to stay at the hotel if I thought they weren't going to be accommodative of my needs.
Parking garage was excellent- last year stayed at Hyatt and had to park in convention center garage because of so many day visitors attending the Salsa exhibition at the Hyatt.
Closet only had short hanging space- need long space to hang gown and tux.
Didn't get to stay at the hotel as it were overbooked.
The fact that (1) Loews - on one of those days when many passengers missed connections at O'Hare - oversold its rooms and didn't honor my reservation; (2) Loews did nothing to line up an alternative hotel for me; (3) Loews charged me for the room they didn't provide; and (4) a week later I still haven't seen a refund on my credit card account for the room Loews promised but failed to deliver.
This was my first stay at a Loews and I was truly impresed by the beauty of ths hotel and especiallly the staff. Every single member of the Loews family contributed to my stay. Even the doorman had resaurant recommendations for me. I was in the area fr a very stressful board exam and their care made all the difference. Without even asking they gave me a top floor room with a view of the Chicago skyline. I have already become a member. Thanks guys!
They don't make my room clean enough.
Very nice visit. Great restaurants, room and service. Best hotel I have stayed in by the airport.
