There is hardly a town in Germany that is more charming and traditional than Rothenburg. In the historic part of this enchanting city you find the Kloster-Stueble, your romantic home for unforgettable moments. According to the chronicles the house was built as early as 1534. Originally, during almost four centuries it served as a farmhouse until it was turned into an inn. The Kloster-Stueble is located in the Heringsbronnengasse. The name is derived from the medieval fountains in which the pickled herrings brought from the coast and stored in barrels were desalted and washed. Directly behind the Kloster-Stueble you find the Castle Garden (Burggarten), a quiet park with a unique view over the town whose charter was granted in 1171 by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa. For three generations now the Kloster-Stueble has been owned by the same family who want to welcome their guests with a very personal hospitality.
Great location, very nice staff, lovely rooms
The rooms in the old section aren't as nice as the new section, but strangely cost more.
Excellent room, with a taste of the old town. Excellent location from the town center. Computer right outside our room. Excellent service and staff.
Nothing, excellent in all categories
The staff were very nice, helpful, always with a smile on their face. The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was good too.
There was no lift. And we preferred to have a bath and shower. We only had a shower.
The staff was very helpful and made us feel at home and welcome. The entire place oozed hospitality and medevial history.
No complaint. I'll book there again.
Everything was superb - from the friendly initial greeting until the end of our stay. We stayed in the new section of the hotel and the rooms were very large and simply charming. We could not fault it. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent value and the breakfast was fantastic. Brilliant location as well. Do yourself a favour!
Could not fault anything!

Atmosphere, staff, free wifi
Room a little small
Erica, the hotel manager was an angel. She accomodated our every need, including preparing a sack breakfast for us so that we could depart early in the morning to make our flight connections in Frankfurt. The hotel it self is also very classy.
friendliness and service readiness of staff
