We stayed here last year so that says everything! We love Ruhpolding and the position of the hotel is perfect - quiet yet close to the restaurants. Breakfasts are very good and sitting on the balcony overlooking the garden was enjoyable in the afternoons when we'd been out walking all day.
Having to pay for the water was a bit of a bummer. It would have been useful had the hotel been part of the Ruhpolding card scheme which would have given us free local transport (and other benefits) as bus travel up into the mountains was expensive. Most hotels, we were told by the Tourist Office, do belong to this scheme.
the friendly owner, she took care of everything. We came with a group of nine people, and 5 children. The breakfast was fine and well served.
This is a very nice Bavarian accommodation in a beautifully landscaped neighborhood within walking distance to downtown Ruhpolding. The hosts greeted us personally upon arrival (they appeared to be looking out for us) and made us feel immediately welcome. The accommodations and amenities were excellent and we highly recommend a stay here!
