Right on the beach and had a great view.
The floors were dirty - I spilled some water on the floor and when I wiped it up the cloth was black. Also the wind in the AC unit kept us awake all night.
the beds were very comfortable the room was very spacious and nicely decorated love the balcony and its view. staff was great. check in was easy enjoy the bar downstairs which was close and easy to accessand overall I would stay there again in the near future
although the stay was awesome the facilities needs some upgrades such as the carpet throughout the hotel along with the entrances to the hotel and the rooms
The staff was incredible- very friendly, helpful, and attentive!
The hotel is a bit dated, but that's reflected in the very reasonable prices.
It was so peaceful to watch the ocean waves.
The shower water burned me really bad when the room next door turned on their shower. My TV didn't work. The TV was switched twice and it took forever because the engineering department couldn't figure out how to program the Tvs.
Right when we checked in, the front desk associates were lacking in professionalism and customer service. We were charged over $100 extra for accommodations booked through a third party. We were told there was nothing that they could do. The rooms were ok however the beds are so hard we woke up hurting and exhausted. Someone hit our vehicle in the parking garage and the front desk called one time and left a voicemail. Thank goodness the person that bumped the car was gracious enough to leave a note. Never staying here again.
Everything about our stay at this hotel was perfect. We got a killer deal. Everything was spotless and new and updated. All of the staff was so friendly! They really went out of their way to make everything about our stay perfect. While there we visited all of the 4 restaurants in the hotel. They were all great! I was definitely glad with my decision to stay there and will never stay at another hotel in St. Pete!
The staff were nice but I think they had to be in order to make up for the property
The rooms were all tiled and were adjoined to the next room. Which made it extremely loud. We could hear every word our next door neighbor was making and vice versa I'm sure. The tile made the place a lot louder, so we could hear the upstairs neighbor as well. Just didn't feel very cozy. The hotel was just a bit weird. It looks like a space ship when arriving there. The other thing they forgot to mention is there is a bar downstairs with live music. We asked for a quiet room but gave us the room above the bar. So much for a quiet room.
Pleasant staff, onsite breakfast buffet, comfortable, clean room.
Buffet not included in lodging price.
I recently spent a week at Grand Plaza. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The hotel was current, clean and very cozy. There were so many different things to do in one place. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very hospitable. They helped make my vacation a memorable one. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Location, beach amenities, quiet
Out of towels for long period of time for pool, housekeeper threw away valued items, same menu for all restaurants at hotel
Having both views of the bay & the oceanfront. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rotating restaurant, Spinners has great food & amazing view! I can't wait to come back!
Hotel right on water. Great. Looks good from afar. All in all wonderfull.
The carpet in hallway could have been alittle updated.
We had an amazing time! Everything was kept clean and the staff was friendly. We are already planning our next trip and don't want to stay anywhere else!
Outside Bongo bartenders miserable.
Clean spacious rooms. Beachfront property. Beachfront dining.
Pool was outdated and the size of my jacuzzi tub. Parking was horrendous. The gestapo asking you at every trip to the car if you are staying there, not in a pleasant way. Beach access is zero! Construction around the building did not help. Only 2 elevators, good luck checking out at the same time as rest of guests. This is not a family hotel. If you are looking for that go next door to the Sirata. They are much friendlier and don't have gestapo every trip to the car. I will not stay here again. Good luck to them.
Loved the beach side bar/restaurant. Staff was super friendly. Close to several restaurants. Stephan at Bongos was awesome. Bongos is what makes this place even worth staying at somewhat.
Size of room was very small and dated. Not what I would expect for what I paid. For over $300 a night I would expect a slightly larger room with a more comfortable bed, working shower and better WIFI. No luggage carrier to be found either so it was a pain to bring it up and down. During dinner it can be very difficult to find parking. I probably will not stay here again. Not bad, but for the price I will try to find better.
