Beach location and nice bar.
we were in a room where the next two rooms either side of us were being revamped and construction started early in the morning. they did not have our reservation from Priceline on file, and we were lucky to get one. Thankfully, I had my receipt.Different decorating in the older hotel, not what I saw on line in the pictures, quaint, didn't spend time in the lobby, walked thru the restaurant, but did not eat there. Wedding reception set up in the grassy area between the building, with a Mexican band serenading them, was cool. There was a fire pit for evening bon fire. Went to the beach bar, ordered the rubbed ribs, with sauce on the side, and they were close to the best I have had. Delivered from the restaurant in a to go box, which was fine with us, being in the beach bar... Very casual and fun place. Found out later that this is the same motel we stayed at 7 or 8 years ago (or longer) when it was the Travelodge. A...
It was right on the beach.
Very noisy at night up to about 11 pm. Fine after that time. One member of the front desk was very uncooperative and she would not help us. Needed to have contact with the assistant manager to get certain matters rectified. We had a family gathering at the hotel and had many problems when we arrived. First, they had no record of our booking and it was only after I presented them a copy of Priceline confirmation did they register us. Our son arrived and although they had a booking for him and his wife they would not register him because he did not have a copy of the Priceline confirmation. Had to phone priceline and have them send by email a confirmation. This was very upsetting since the other members were booked and had to wait to see if our son was going to be allowed a room which spoiled the early part of the afternoon. Don't know if this is a problem with the hotel or Priceline. Have used Priceline often and n...
It was on the beach.
Yes, the hotel was a dump. There was no Microwave, refrigerator as Price line list. If you want one, the cost is almost as much as the room. The sheets had stains on them, the floor carpet had no carpet padding, the sink was nonfunctional, and Etc.Remove this hotel off your site. It only hurts price-line's credibility. This hotel is not even a one star. The negative reviews on Trip-adviser are the same problems I experienced. There was defecation in the toilet, which I flushed, stains on the sheets, Roaches everywhere, and there was no Carpet padding under the carpet. The owner is a scam artist, scamming Price-Line by scamming Price-Lines customers. There is no way to controls your heat or air, it is controlled by the office. One air handler for the entire building. Therefore, you freeze or sweat depending on the office staff's opinion as to what they think the temperature should be. The room smelled like an old tennis shoe. T...
The room needed lots of updating but the bed was comfortable. Location is the only reason for star rating.
This by no way was a 3 star hotel! It might have been a 1 star at best. Rooms were out dated toilet looked as if it was brought in from the bathroom of some outdoor sporting event, no tank on the toilet. Carpet was indoor/ outdoor style and taped to floorOverall, bad hotel, even for xxx a night. Not even close to a 3 star hotel, in my opinion. The hotel is terribly outdated and in need of an overall upgrade. The only plus was the heated pool.
everythingbed was broken-ac did not work- floor was carpet on concrete- felt very unsafe
Close to the beach
Just about everythingThis motel should have been renovated about 40 to 50 years ago. The only upgrades they have made would be a newer TV and WiFi. The walls are paper thin. You will hear every noise that anyone makes within a five room radius. The plumbing made very loud noises. The whole property has a run down dirty feel to it. This property should never be listed as a resort, and should certainly not have a rating of more than 1 star.
Proximity to the beach
Just about everything. This property is in serious need of renovation. The plumbing made terrible noises and the walls are so thin and un insulated that you hear every sound that people in the adjoining 5 rooms make. 1 star rating at bestThe hotel motto is : It is not about age, it's an attitude. Their attitude is they don't care about a property that should have been renovated about 50 years ago. When people talk in the next room, it sounds like they are in your room. Parking lot right outside your door. Cars start up starting around 530am. Bed was comfortable, but I did not want to examine it closely for fear of what I would find. TV and WiFi worked well, but those are the only two upgrades they have ever done. Pool area looked nice but we did not use it at all. Very disappointed with Priceline for giving this motel a 3 star rating. It is nothing more than a 1 star motel, and can certainly not be called a resort.
The floors are filthy and the walls are very thin. I could hear entire conversations from other rooms.Great idea to revamp an older motel but there needs to be some more upgrades and figure out different floor coverings that can be deep cleaned.
it's well located on St.Pete's beach. The restaurant and common areas were both enjoyable.
The rooms have had some upgrades but are still about a 2 star. You will hear your neighbors as the walls are poorly sound proofed. We liked it but wouldn't say it is worthy of 3 stars. The PCI definitely attracts a younger crowd.
