Pros:Reception area clean and personnel inviting. Breakfast was a good mix of morning java, cereals, yogurt, waffles,toast, etc. Bed was a king and was comfortable with five pillows and amenities were blow dryer,iron/ ironing board, inroom safe, coffee maker, bar fridge, sitting area , sofa bed etc. Swimming pool seemed clean,but weather was not favourable to kick our feet in it.
Cons:Some concerns were that the toilet seat was extremely loose and sliding around and could not tighten, drain stopper in sink was on counter on arrival and would not operate as push rid stem wasn't long enough and needed replacing and just before going to sleep the bathroom lights , bath fan, and other lights would not work (breaker kicked out?) we could have called reception and requested repair but didn't need lighting as we were going to sleep. On departure we mentioned to receptionist and they noted the repair requirements and that a small GFI receptacle switch near the hair dryer needed to be reset..
Pros:Location was good
Cons:Room had roaches and bed was very hard.
Pros:I was not made aware the the hotel was under construction and that there was no water for at least an hour after checking in. I had to call and ask and employee stated that she forgot to mention that there was no water.
Pros:Pool was a bit dirty but we used the tool to pick out things that had blown in. Water looked clean and was cool but refreshing. Bed was a bit stiff but just what we needed. Large and comfortable. Shower curtain in our room was a joke and would not stay closed..Obviously an older hotel with a few maintenance issues but it was a clean roon and for the price it was a good value. Breakfast was minimal but the Texas shaped waffles we made were cute for us tourists. 2nd day the cleaning staff forgot to put coffee and cream in our room which was a bummer... There is another one within a block or 2 of the alamo that we found. I am sure it would cost more though. Todd
Pros:The room was clean and very well appointed, and the hotel was convenient for my business needs.
Cons:The alarm clock "alarm" function did not work.
