It was conveniently located.
The place was very bare bones, nothing special at all...the bathroom felt dirty...and the beds were uncomfortable. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful too.
I was afraid to walk on the carpet or use the shower. Many things didn't work properly and the place was dirty.
The location was good and the staff was nice.
The room was very very outdated and didn't feel clean The bathroom was a pit. The Bath towels were the size of a wash cloth practically. They charge far too much money for the condition of their rooms. The only thing they have going for them is the location, however, there are MANY other choices on the same street. Take your money elsewhere.
Quick drive to beaches or the nearby shopping center and restaurants, both higher end and modest. Lots of greenery around the property. Quick check-in and quiet room. It's a mature property so the rooms are smaller, a few chips, dings, and cracks in the paint, but the central location in Mission Valley, for about the same price as value motels, is worth it for me. Ten minutes west on the freeway to the Beaches. It's really three motels in one, with three pools, cottages, and a couple complexes of two story buildings. Room had some wear and tear, expected for the age.
The lobby looks clean
The room was completely gross! Its basically looked like a room from 1990 thats had a million people in it without cleaning. I refused to touch the floor with my bare feet or even lay on the bed without my own personal blanket on it. Bathroom disgusting!!! We wore our flip flops in the shower because we didn't want any part of our body touching anything in there!!!! will never stay again if you have a motorcycle thats the place to stay. Its apparently a place for motorcycle ppl
It's was horrible, very dirty small and plan disgusting
The bed was tiny supposed to be queens was a twin small bathroom, smelled awful
I get a feeling a foreign investor from a third world country bought this place and feels it acceptable to run such a down trodden, wreck of a hotel in this area. Two thumbs down. The name should be changed to Mission Valley LAST Resort.
The place is old and run down. Half the lights in my room didn't even work. The bathroom was the worse. Rusted and stained. The bed had covers and sheet that look like they haven't been replaced in a very long time.
Nothing stood out of the ordinary. The location is great
The place looks broken down. The reception never said hello or thank you. No form of greeting. The rooms carpets is sticky. The bathroom is breaking down. They need to renovate this place asap. Not coming back here
Restaurant was good and having a 24 hour mark rooms were run down tenants below are out of control TVs were out dated mattresses also location restaurant
TVs beds overall appearance needs updated things were falling off l needs updated things were falling off walls New microwave or mini fridge
Our room was moldy smelling, we had no hot water for showers and the room & bathroom was bug infested. The bed was very uncomfortable, we had to purchase a foam egg crate pad to help soften it enough so we didn't feel the springs all night. The grounds were not kept up, over grown with grass and weeds and the trees were in bad need of trimming (although on our second day they hired a palm tree trimming service but it was a hit and miss what they did). The AC wasn't reliable, we had to prop a book against the curtain to get the air to blow into the room rather than up the curtain and into the window. The sliding closet doors barely worked. The only positive was it is in a decent location in relationship to attractions. The next time we come to San Diego, we definitely will not be staying here.
Bed was hard, could feel springs Too many bugs No hot water Unreliable AC
This hotel has a bar, restaurant, store, two pools, and one Jacuzzi. One is heated for late night swimming until 10pm. This close to Old Town. Within 5 miles of Sea World and within 6 miles of the beach.
The room could use a microwave and a small frig. Finishes are a bit dated.
The bed was comfy.
The room next door was a party of several girls laughing and talking, from 7pm to 3:15 am. Due to the connecting door and paper thin walls, it was as if they were all in my room. I recorded the noise to prove how loud it was, but since the hotel was booked I couldn't change rooms. It wasn't the girls fault, they weren't screaming or blasting music, just having a good time, although I didn't like the fact that they tried to open the connecting door to my room. The walls were just so thin, even with earplugs and the AC blasting, I could still hear them clearly. Also, the bathroom wasn't too clean. I cancelled my second night and went elsewhere.
Everything, a place like this shouldn't be allowed to remain open. The room smelled, their was trash in the bathroom, the TV didn't work, the floor was dirty. Holes in the wall. I regretted using kayak. I wouldn't even give this place a star unfortunately that's the only I can post
dirty, old hotel. Not worthy of any star.
Everything. This place need to be torn down and rebuilt.
Great location . Has a bar and restaurant for convenience . Pool and jacuzzi are nice .
The carpets needing cleaning and or replaced . Old carpet .
Size of property
Wifi wasn't working properly. Fitness center machines weren't working. Lots of trash needed to be picked up around property.
Location was good. Clean. Friendly staff.
Nothing was updated. Uncomfy beds. Phones had no info on them. No info in rooms for hotel.
Beautiful pool, great staff, enjoyed the tavern.
Uncomfortable bed, no remote, previous tenant hair on bathroom floor and stuck to wall. Couldn't open the door, had to push into it hard to open.
Room smelled like smoke, and was pretty dirty.
Great location and staff. Good value for your money. Not fancy, but got the job done. Bed was very comfortable.
Needs new bedding, looks like a run down motel 6 Fans don't work, tv limited, wood was dusty and just needs more attention. ....
The overall appearance of the room
It's close to everything
Out dated furniture , paint is old the whole place needs a remodel
Front person was friendly and accommodating and as another reviewer commented apologetic for the hotel's shortcomings. Good location.
While I was checking in a guest came and complained about the hotel having a poor internet connection and another came by because he had been to two of the buildings and could not find a working ice machine. The room was dirty. It was a non-smoking room and we could smell the smoke even before we entered the room. The bathroom had a bowel movement in it. Apparently no one cleaned the bathroom after the last visit. Very gross!
Location was great and the grounds were nice
Room was outdated... OLD TV and max 6 channels (cmon folks its 2015.... a newer TV with basic cable) Carpet needs replaced or at least cleaned
It felt like back in the time of of the great 50 and 60s but very clean and charming of today! Very friendly:)
FOUND bed bugs, bathroom dirty, closet door broken
Quiet neighbors and the gym was nice. Bar inside the reception area was cozy, too.
Construction on the the next door lot had me up at 6am, bulldozers and what not were so loud.
Location was great.. had good parking ..they kept it simple
Just wasn't to classy... Maybe leave the word Resort out of the name
The pricing was fabulous
Walls and door jambs were dirty -- in need of painting
Location is great as it is very near the San Diego Convention Center and is a great value.
The room's outlets were spotty. The televisions are dated - - they are the tube televisions, so when the channel is in HD the picture is cut off.
The second room that we got on night two
The first room that we were placed in on night one
I enjoyed the pool area & the nice faculty.
I think this place need new construction. The rooms are old fashioned & the furniture is looking old. I think this hotel needs some remodeling to do . The parking lot needs work. From the outside view the walls look old & dirty. I believe they should upgrade their things in the rooms & put more quality & comfort . it is know as a resort, so why not make it actually look like one.
Hot tub, free internet, comfortable beds
Rooms are outdated
I loved the location. I stayed in SD for the Rock and Roll Marathon. The location of the hotel was prime with easy access to Freeways. The food they had on the on site restaurant was good. They also have a 24Hr mini mart which is a bit expensive but convenient. I will definitely stay here again. Good value for your money. Dont expect Hilton accommodations, but if you're looking for a place to crash this is a good spot. The staff was friendly. They allowed me to check out late (~1:30pm) as I explained to them that I would be running the marathon which was a life saver.
I guess the only thing that kinda sucked was the strict 3pm check in time. But I cant really complain since they let me check out the next day late without any charges.
