The rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. Overall, it's a great place to stay, especially for a solo traveller looking for a bargain. You also can't beat the location - City Lights bookstore is just a few blocks away and less than a mile walk to Fisherman's Wharf. If you're hungry you can hop on over to the famous Stinky Rose for some garlicy grub. The bubble tea shop nearby is also amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The bathrooms are shared so sometimes you have to hunt around on your floor for one that isn't occupied and, depending on the level of courtesy of the other people staying there, the bathrooms can get a tad messy.
It physically was nice in the lobby. But not comfortable. Its ok if you're there just for sleep and recharging
Shared bathrooms. Noisy beds. No ac. Bathrooms didn't stay clean. There was alot of shouting. Would not stay there again.
Good location, staff was efficient, security downstairs at night was reassuring. The rooms are small, but they have a fridge and sink.
It's a lesser expensive hotel so you get what you pay for, there is nothing fancy about this place.
location was great. Parking garage is real close; I think next time I'll just stay at the parking garage and sleep in my car....
My credit card information was stolen; only place I used it was at hotel.
Inexpensive, good location, microwave, fridge, clean enough. Not a bad place to stay, just don't expect luxury.
You get what you pay for, small, shared bathroom, bit noisy, smells a bit like faeces, not very modern.
The location is excellent just 6 minutes on foot to the financial district. It is surrounded by many restaurants in Chinatown and Little Italy. You can get a very good deal for weekly rate but walk-ins are super expensive and someone who did just that over the Memorial Day weekend wanted refund just walked into their room but the front desk refused. If you are staying for a week or up to 4 weeks, it is cheap and easy to go everywhere.
NO BATH ROOM inside the room, the single room is super small about 8'x7', one window, no air-conditioning, no window screens. The closet is super small, it has a sink, a microwave and a fridge. They never gave me any new soap or shampoo unless you ask for them. The hallway bathrooms are dirty and smell of ammonia all the time. Some of guests there look a little sketchy. I slept with luggage in front of the door. A few of the front desk people are rude but a few others are ok. The room has a strange smell, kinda funky. It is cheap and conveniently located.
There's a muni station close by so you can get out into the city faster. Hah.
This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The pictures are false advertising. There was no air conditioning which is horrible because during the day it was mid to high 80's and imagine no air flow. The rooms are SMALL and musty. The bed takes up the entire room(its not even that big) and then maybe you have a foot of walkway? Sketchy rooms too.. just doesn't feel very safe. If it could get any worse, the toilets were almost always clogged. The restrooms and bathrooms just felt incredibly insanitary.
BEDBUGS rude staff, dirty bathrooms, small rooms...
