Staff was friendly and helpful on guiding me on different bus route options to see the city. This is a 1 star, but was better than some 2 star hotels. The price was great, 3 to 6 times cheaper than the city.
Could use a little updating, but then the price might increase too.I would consider staying here again if I make it back to SF. It was nice to be directly on the 'L' line, though it does take a 40 minute commute to get into downtown. There is no A/C, but there is a heater; the weather is so nice in California that you don't need the A/C. I felt safe even when returning late at night. There were no homeless people around the motel, unlike downtown that has several. I would recommend it for a business traveler needing to save money.
Free parking, that's about it. But so what? You can find free parking all over the place.
The rooms were disgusting, they smelled musty, sweet, and sour. The linens were so old you could see through them. There was a wet, red substance on my pillow that looked like blood. Me and my wife were bitten by bed bugs during our stay here.A waste of your money. A horrible business. We checked in late, to a room with a cardboard feeling bed with horrible linens. My wife complained about the smell and the wet red splotch on my pillow case (telling me they didn't even launder the bed sheets from the last resident). We woke up in the morning to having been bitten dozens of times by bed bugs. When we approached the desk about this, they insisted I was wrong and that they were sprayed the day before. Well, they were wrong, and we continued to develop bite marks over the next several days. This hotel is the worst thing that happened to me and my ...
Location was great
This is an old motel so dont expect moderm facilities.Best prices in SF. Friendly staff. Fenced parking. Very old and had a musty smell in the room. Fixtures were old but all worked well. I would go back again.
you could see the ocean, and it was right next to the zoo.
The walls are thin and the whole hotel had a dingy feel to it.This hotel is not a 5 star resort or anything near that nice. It is a seaside port for those needing a good rest. You could spend a few days at this place since the muni stop is literally right behind the parking lot. With the Zoo across the street and the beach a block down the road it is a great location. Just don't expect much from the room itself.
It's location to the SF zoo and the beach. Close to good restaurants. In a good neighborhood.
The plug on the tub didn't work. That's the only thing. The hotel had decent parking. Allowed us to leave our car there all day while we were at the zoo. Clean room. Nothing gross under the bed. Bathrooms were clean. Very close to a main shopping center that had good food. No complaints. Proximity to the beach was excellent. Having the zoo across the street was nice. Would definitely stay there again. Staff was very nice and helpful. Overall a very good experience.
I am sorry,I don't think this hotel is good for me.
I hope I can know more detail of the hotel before booking.
