Very comfortable bedding.
Quite small room.
locks were missing, paint badly chipped, lighting very dim. Did not allow parking as they indicated in the phon.
It was a worn room but a clean room. The shower worked well. You can see they are trying to keep a clean, tidy inn but the location and safety is a concern listed below.
The location and safety is a concern. The window treatments (blind type) do not provide adequate security, i.e., one can see into the room from outside. This facility only deserves a star or less.
The room was disgusting. There were stains on the sheets. The ceiling was yellow. There was water damage on the wall. There were unidentifiable stains on the night stands. We ended up leaving after an hour of being there and paying for a room at the Hyatt
HoJo better selection of television & movie channels than many four/five star hotels I have stayed at. Staff is friendly and professional with a facility located only a minutes from San Francisco, Silicon Valley and SFO!
Nothing. All was as expected.
room was great
we thought we left something behind, first we were told on phone, only the manager had access to lost and found, called repeatedly without getting a human, stopped back on way out of California. Some one, not the manager, checked for the missing item.
Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was attended to and clean every day (3 day stay).
Room was very small. Furniture was falling apart or had parts missing. Sink stopper came apart in our hands. Road noise from the street. Parking was a challenge when they parked a tour buss in an already crowded parking lot. The floor was not level.
The guest service team was friendly and helpful. This location is perfect for those that don't want to spend an arm and a leg finding lodging in San Francisco.
No hot breakfast items (eggs/sausage or bacon)
The fact that it had air conditioning.
Yeah, I got locked out of my room the first night, and there was no one in the lobby to help me. It was about 2 AM. I had to sleep in my car. On top of that, the manager, didn't do anything to compensate me for the poor service. He blamed me.
Great room, very clean, good noise insulation, extremely friendly staff
Breakfast was light, and parking lot was tiny
We liked the location which was close enough to San Francisco. Staff was very helpful. The room was clean.
The room was very small. The furniture was kind of like a beat up. One of the drawer was missing and a part of the drawer was damaged. The shower cauten had a very noticeable hall.
There was a pie place across the street open 24hrs.
No name tag on front desk person, take-it-or-leave-it attitude from front desk, bugs in room.
It included a continental breakfast.
The room was beat up. Fridge didn't work properly. The bathroom door didn't shut. Bedspread was worn and needed to be replaced.
Housekeeper is mean
stuff and breakfast
very nice decor staff was very accommodatingbreakfast was pretty good
bathroom fan was noisy
not what I expected. To small I gess I am not a motel kind of GUY
Hotel was nice. You can tell they recently remodeled. But it was very noisy at night. I don't know who's staying at this hotel but they were up until all hours in the night.
conveniently located; good lighting
no soda machine; noisy bathroom fan
Appeared to have had a recent remodeling. Flat TV, granite shower.
Bed needed more padding to bring on more comfort. Breakfast needed more in the offering.
It looked newly refurbished with a very nice setup for interior decorating. Instant hot water from shower, great breakfast, fast wifi signal, and open 24 hours. Overall I had a great experience.
The door wouldn't close all the way because it looked like it was kicked in a couple times so you hear loud traffic in the morning and the ac unit looked like it was missing parts.
psuedo wood floors (aka NOT carpet), which were clean
mold in showers, electrical outlets unsound (if it wiggles the lights would go out), very loud street noise/patrons. They have a nice work desk, but it has no light, the area where the work desk was located was the darkest part of the room.
The location was convenient. And the staff was friendly
i was satisfied with everything
A wonderful to star facility with a superb continetal breakfast. Freindly staff in a facility located in the heart of San Mateo, a bed room community only minutes from San Francisco with access to all major freeways! Great place!
This facility not only has clean rooms and friendly staff, it has a cable television system that exceeds many five star hotels! Bravo! I will definitely stay here in the future. Thanks HoJo!
This motel was decent for the peninsula and the star level of 2 stars is just about right. The price is what you would expect for the Bay Area, expensive but fair for the area. Bed and pillows were OK and the bathrooms really nice for a 2 star motel.
Was a bit noisy because of people returning late at night, could be more quiet but not too bad.
Great night manager Sandeep. Friendly and helpful.
Lights in hallway somewhat bright so make sure to keep the shades down, but a minor quibble.
Proximity to the region I wanted to stay.
The room was kind of dingy; definitely more like a 1 star hotel.
Rooms are functional and well decorated for a budget hotel
Big room. Fairly quiet. Internet works.
Bathroom smells like sewer gas. No elevator to second floor. Breakfast was very bad. Swimming pool looks like algea pond. No public place. Decors are old and dingy.
not one thing but to late to find somewhere to go
room dirty blinds broken bed spread red stains bathroom fan did not work door frame had been kicked in all around bad housekeeping
The one thing, that we liked was we found a great pizza restaurant. Very close by.
It was clean.
-It was sunny, so we could have breakfast outside (by the pool). -They have Dish, so watching the World Cup in HD was great.
-Breakfast was very limited¿ almost spartan. -Bathroom was very small. There was no place to put soap and shampoo close to the shower. The shower itself was very low, which made it uncomfortable.
Newly remodeled and surprisingly nice rooms... Much better than expected.
distance from fair grounds
very used-needs to be remolded-parking area very small-need better selection for breakfast
The staff was outstanding !
Could have had a better selection of food in the morning although the 6am start was nice for the early risers.
location good, parking OK
Not up to my expectations of 2 star
where do I start, parking, registration, area, felt unsafe, room door was open when we got to it. would NEVER stay here again.
Very dingy and dark. Cold hear everything going on outside.
They changed the room type on the second day as I have two kids since rooms were available.
location. Low quality breakfast.
The room was better than a place under a bridge
Stayed in the newly renovated rooms. Walking distance to AMAZING food options. Lookig forward to next year.
We stayed there for the U S Open. Easy to get there from the airport and the parking area at candlestick Park. Clean room each day. Convenient to stores and restaurants on the same road. Didn't have time to try it out, but there was a small amusement park a couple of blocks away.
The room was very small and had a bad smell to it; had to request that the sheets be changed as prior to sleeping in the bed-
Needed to stay in the area for a few nights, and this was cheap. When making reservation, I asked to have a room not on the main drag. The hotel staff said ok but then my room was right on the main drag! The only difference that made is that it is quite a bit noisier in the morning. There was a 3' brown stain on my down comforter, but the hotel staff traded it out for me. Overall, the place was clean and basic. I felt safe (and am a woman but was there with my husband). The breakfast in the morning was basic - bagels, coffee, cereal, etc. I'm satisfied and would go back if I had to stay in the area again.
I traveled with a friend who has allergy problems. He complained that he had some trouble breathing because of lingering smoke and mold odors in our non-smoking room. I also have allergies and noticed the odors, but my allergies were not affected. The price was good, the room acceptable but not great.
Location :- Convenient Room : - Ok. Mattresses are old and could be better. Heating device as not working. Compained about it and the staff put a small portable heater. Bathroom:- Too small and the sink was broken but working. Amenities: Room was equipped with fridge, microwave, safe, TV Breakfast: - OK Service: Found staff friendly. Be sure to ask for a room towards far end. Its too close to El Camino Real and you could hear all the noise from ongoing traffic. Luckily, our first room had some problem and we changed. We could hear every vehicle passing in the first room. The next room was better
I loved this place. My stay was really nice because of the staff. They helped with a lot of things like setting my computer to internet options- Firewall and stuff for me to access internet. The front desk staff was helpful and very polite even when I called them at 11pm for wake up call. The room was clean and crisp. I liked the fact that the hotel is surrounded my many restaurants which is good for a traveler like me without a car. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
