The breakfast was okay. There was free parking.
The room was hot. The air conditioner was a wall unit very high on the wall, that poured water all night. It required a trash can under it to catch water. The sink was stopped up. Had to brush teeth in shower stall. Also, there was no shower curtain.
Upper parking lot is 24 hours and only accessed from a side street. Busy intersection.
When you look outside our window there were bumbsetting there tent for the night.
Friendliness of staff
Secure hotel, nice room and comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly.
The view from the room was awesome
No heat in the room. No refrigerator or coffee pot.
Nice Breakfast area and good selection. Artwork in the public areas made a personal touch to a corporate hotel chain. Real plates and flatware were provided at breakfast, no plastic throwaways.
No good restaurants, only fast foods chains available within walking distance of hotel.
Free breakfast/free parking (although we had to park on the street so that didn't really matter)
They offer free parking for people going on cruises and the hotel must shuttle them to the port. Because of this, there's NO PARKING for the people actually staying in the hotel. We had to park on the street which didn't feel the safest.
Friendly staff , close to port, rate included an excellent breakfast , rooms and interior equivalent to a 4 star hotel
The exterior is deceiving and does no match the interior
Very pleasant experience.
Nothing at all.
Staff was very friendly and attentive, rooms are beautiful and very comfortable.
Location is not perfect but certainly OK to sleep. Front rooms somewhat noisy
Very convenient to the cruise terminal and free shuttle provided. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. The hotel and rooms had some character. The staff were very helpful. The price was reasonable.
The hotel's location is in a somewhat rundown location and we weren't comfortable trying to find a restaurant in the evening travelling by foot.
The hotel is very clean and the staff is AWESOME! The breakfast was typical and the lady helping with the breakfast was great too!
There are only selected spaces for actual 'hotel' parking. If those are filled, then you have to park out on the street. The hotel is in a kind-of run down town.
The hotel is very clean and comfy beds, nice breakfast.
Asked for a quiet room, however placed on busy road side of hotel, too tired to go back to change room.
We loved the decor; the antiques &paintings that gave it a feeling of a different time. We also loved the wonderful breakfast! The parking was very convenient and the location was perfect for our weekend activities. We'll definitely come back!
High ceilings. Free parking.
The room smelled funny. My key card didn't work in the elevator half the time. We got stuck in the elevator for a while and nobody responded to the alarm and the front desk took a while to answer. The staff was nice enough but dry and not personable.
Nice period ambiance,decor.
Have not been to San Pedro and didn't know what a dangerous, awful town it is--sirens going thru the night!!Also the literature stated that Long Beach was 7 miles away. That so-called 7 miles took us forever!!(Not 7 miles!!) Almost missed a flight home as
It wasn't crowded, the staff was very efficient and friendly, it had good access to the freeway and highways and security (needed room key to access rooms).
Nice looking hotel interiors, located in a sketchy neighborhood, everything close by. Although you here a lot of police and fire activity going by the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful, little or no wifi especially the weekend!
Lack of wifi in rooms as advertised, to intermittent and dropped out frequently! Air conditioner rattled loudly!
Large bathroom, free shuttle to the cruise ship terminal. It was clean and comfortable and near several restaurants.
The desk attendant was very rude. He insisted that they didn't do business with Priceline and that the room was not prepaid. It wasn't until I produced my printout from priceline that he relented but then complained that it should be more obvious.
The staff was very accommodating and the continental breakfast was good.
I had to get an extra chair for the room so my wife & I could sit.
Big rooms and clean
Many firetrucks and police sirens through out the night..not a safe place outside hotel
The room was great, included a mini fridge. Exceeded my expectations in size and overall style and set up.
The desk was staffed with complete idiots. Personality-less idiots. The maid staff turned off the a/c when we were out of the room so when we returned it was hot & stuffy. Water pressure in the shower really sucked too.
The lobby was decorate nicely but that's about all that I enjoyed about this hotel.
Room and hallways smell like smoke really bad ! You can get cancer from all the third has smoke in there.
Not a good neighborhood. Cant go out after dark. Front desk told us our room had a 'few stairs' leading to it. Actually a steep hill leading to a separate building where we had to climb 4 flights of steep stairs with our luggage. No elevator!
My room smelled heavly with cigarette and the door would not lock. I stayed one night in a room that didn't lock. I only received $30 credit .
I was in a room that didn't lock and the room smelled heavly wifh cigarette
This hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the bed very comfortable. We arrived late and then the a/c in the room was extremely loud. We informed the front desk and the lady immediately switched our room, actually she upgraded us to the suite. It was great! I am so pleased with the service we will be staying there again. Only thing that I could complain about is they are a little stingy on the towels.
This is an older building that has been and is still being remodeled. New fixtures in the bathroom and new paint all around. The furnishings are older and show signs of wear, but still very serviceable. The complimentary breakfast is typical with cereal, pastries, juice, etc. but also self serve waffles. There is a large dinning room that is not in service yet, part of the remodel. The underground parking is a plus as it was raining when we were there. It is close to the freeway, and you can hear some local street traffic, but it didn't bother us. The manager recommended a great English Pub for dinner, so ask them. We usually don't spend much time in hotel rooms, so this was quite satisfactory for us. We would gladly stay there again.
Front Desk Manager George super friendly. Polite, he meet all my expectations he is an asset to this beautiful hotel.
