Conveniently located. Room was decent and comfortable. Person at counter upon arrival was helpful and nice.
Breakfast was minimal and took long to restock.
Beds were comfortable, windows open, room was clean: my top three. Spa was a great bonus. Location near Hearst Castle cannot be beat.
Not much to do nor many choices for dining near by, which is not the hotel's fault, but do plan ahead and eat in Cambria or further south if coming from that direction.
Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable king bed.
WiFi signal was weak and low bandwidth. Maid walked in the room without knocking. Breakfast food ran out. Oatmeal was undercooked.
We enjoyed staying in the Days Inn. The room was clean and big. We felt very comfortable to sleep in. The room price was reasonable. It's closed to the Hearst Castle. We had an impression to live in this place.
Close to Hearst Castle - super convenient in that sense.
Pretty much everything else. Cell signal is terrible here if you're on AT&T so I was really relying on their WiFi to get connected. It's terrible. No elevator so if you're on the second floor keep that in mind. Ocean view? I mean, I guess technically. Don't pay extra for that. Front desk guy completely vanished in the morning - I needed him to transfer a call that was coming in. Wet carpet near the nightstand. Musty smell from the window unit. Look this is basically a $59 hotel masquerading as a $150 hotel because it can. Free markets and all. Just go in with the right expectations and you'll be fine.
The location is great for the price, and we really did love the waffle machine at breakfast. While there was not a huge breakfast selection, my boyfriend and I were more than satisfied. The indoor spa was pretty nice, clean, and bubbly. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating when we arrived close to the spa's closing time and allowed us a little time to relax after our long drive. As for the room, it's a great value for the price. The bed was pretty comfy and there were enough pillows and blankets for the two of us. The heater worked well, and there is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker as well. For the price, you don't expect luxury, but you at least are getting a great value for your stay.
The ice machine was broken the entire stay, but no one ever did anything to repair it, even though more than one guest complained (and the solution given to get ice was to retrieve it from the bar next door... yeah because I am really going to walk in to a bar I don't know in an area I've never been just to ask for ice!). The water level in the spa was a little too low so the jets were causing the water to spout up super high, but if you sat right in front of it, you could block it. And I was slightly concerned about the cleanliness after opening up the fridge and finding someone else's food was still in there... yuck.
