The sprawling Casa Ybel Resort lies in the middle of the southern Sanibel coast and is considered one of the more upscale locations on the island. Dating back to 1880, the hotel is chic both in the layout and décor. It is also said to be Sanibel’s first resort. The manor grounds are a very popular destination for families and couples seeking a fancier Florida getaway.
Casa Ybel Resort is spread along the southern coast parallel to the beach. The property is surrounded by hotels, meaning the immediate surrounding does not offer walkable shopping, dining or entertainment.
