Great staff, location and feel to the B&B. Breakfast was above average in quality and amount.

Temperature control was a challenge in the room.

Fine staff, close to Plaza, good food and very clean room/bathroom/public space. An excellent value.

Location and staff were great. Sue the owner was genuinely very friendly. Very good all-around experience.

My wife and I visited Santa Fe for her birthday. We wanted to stay in a B&B near the Plaza. The Paradero fit the bill. The B&B is in a building that's 200 years old - very well decorated and quaint. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They made us feel like part of the family. Lots of good breakfast and afternoon discussions. We would definitely recommend this B&B to others and we plan on staying there again on our next visit.

Attractive with nice amenities and great location.

Maid tried to get in our room to clean at 8 or 8:15 two mornings of our stay. We were sleeping in and this seemed a bit early. Cleaning staff were also talking loudly outside our room.

The location is terrific, the rooms are a little small but nicely appointed, the beds are comfy, lobby is nice, it's a historic property with a great bar!

There was no coffee maker in the guest room and no morning coffee in the lobby, and no one at the restaurant desk so we had to go out. Not a big deal but a little inconvenient since it was snowing!

I really loved the spa-like feel of the place and proximity to the plaza, all the shopping, restaurants, museums, and community activities. The decor - especially the lounge and the pool area have a resort atmosphere and you do feel like you are treating yourself.

I have stayed at other spa resorts. I don't think the Loretto should call itself a "spa" in the title since it doesn't have any sauna, steam room, or similar facilities. When I stay at a spa, I am really looking for those types of facilities. Also, although they were "nice," I didn't feel staff was really game for checking in with guests about their needs. For example, at the pool, there were several groups of guests the day I was enjoying the pool which also happened to be on the weekend of a big fiesta. Guests (including myself) had to go inside to ask for food/bev service and towels were at your own service. If this hotel really wants to be considered a destination for spa travelers, guests shouldn't have to walk into the lounge area in their swimming attire to ask for food/bev service (yes, there is a phone at the pool a guest can use to call the bar for service but it's just as easy at that point to walk 2 more steps into the bar). Food/Bev management, please schedule an extra waitstaff to attend to pool guests on weekends. Thanks! once I did touch base with the bartender, she was very sweet and attentive! oh and also, please offer guests water while they are at the pool especially since many travelers aren't used to the elevation. I enjoyed my stay, thank you.

This hotel felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The staff was always friendly, upbeat, and helpful. The fire place in the eating area was nice touch. The thought that went into the interior decorating and the landscaping added to the hotel.

The parking is a little tight but you can't really change something that a matter of geographical constraint from the roads. By morning the fan sounded like it needed a screw tightened, but overall I this placed made me wish I stayed in Santa Fe longer.

Loved the idea of them asking what time and how many in the party would be eating breakfast as a way to make sure everyone got fresh cooked food. They had both regular and gluten free cereals and breads. Fresh fruit, regular jams but also some local (homemade- don't remember which) preserves. It had a homey feel which like I said felt more like a B&B than hotel. Happy to recommend this place to my parents when they make a trip to NM. They even ha...

Even though we had been warned in advance that the hotel was undergoing renovations, the view when we pulled up to La Fonda was disappointing - the entire facade was covered in plastic wrap! I had no idea what we would find inside... But, what a wonderful surprise - the hotel inside is as lovely as ever, and the rooms are all newly renovated and updated with hand-painted headboards, tile artwork in the showers, and lovely Southwestern furniture. I had only booked a standard queen room, but the one we got was on the top floor, with a 10 foot long private balcony overlooking the Loretto Chapel, and a very comfortable king bed with duvet. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner in La Plazuela, La Fonda's restaurant in a renovated courtyard with a fountain and charming hand-painted glass windowpanes. Because of the ongoing renovations, the pool was closed and some other areas were off limits, but there was no noise or construction interference at all. We were very happy and enjoyed every minu...

This hotel was under renovation so the spa and pool were closed. We wished we would have known this before we booked the trip. However, La Fonda is the perfect location if you are staying in Santa Fe as restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. The food and amenities in this hotel were also very good, I suggest the spinach quiche in the French bakery and the Green Chili Meatloaf in the main dining room! Nancy was a wonderful concierge, we appreciated her smile and upbeat attitude each time we spoke to her! Dennis was also friendly at the front desk and the tall bell hop was very helpful with directions. Our room was one that had not been renovated but it was clean and we had plenty of pillows and a good air conditioner to keep our room just right. I would definitely stay here again.

Located close to the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe, the Inn of the Turquoise Bear occupies the home of Witter Bynner, who for decades was a prominent citizen of New Mexico. Noted as a poet, playwright and essayist, Bynner was a staunch advocate of human rights, including the rights of women, Native Americans and other ethnic minorities. Bynner's rambling adobe...

The hosts were wonderful; engaging and personable. They stuck around during breakfast and cocktail hour and had great personal interaction with their guests, calling us by name and being very helpful with suggestions and advice.

The room we stayed in needed a little help; the pocket door to the bathroom stuck badly and needed repair, as did some of the windows which, when opened, ran off their track. There was also some apparent water damage on the wall and floor of one corner.

I would recommend this bed and breakfast for anyone looking for very personable hosts and is ok with a b and b which is a little off the beaten path. The facility itself is a historic building and has many fun and interesting features, as well as private outside entrances to many of the rooms. It is within walking distance to the Plaza but is not on a busy street, so it is quiet and relaxing. The hosts are very engaging, and the grounds are beautiful.

Prices are either the average per night price per room or first night of stay. You can select to display the prices with or without our estimate of taxes & fees (which may not appear on provider's booking page but will be charged at hotel checkout). Before you complete your reservation, verify the total cost on the provider's site. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.
