For our purposes the location is great
We didn't like the differential charges for week-ends and holidays as the hotel was almost empty. We prefer flat weekly rates for a week's stay.
The staff here couldnt have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The suites were large, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Fully stocked efficiency apartment. Location.
Lack of a premium cable channel, or even The Weather Channel.
The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and the pool area was beautiful.
We really enjoy having a kitchen and wish the oven had been a little newer, since all the numbers were worn off the oven and couldn't use it. Also the pilot kept going out in the furnace so it was a bit nippy in the evenings. This would not have been an issue any other time of the year.
I like the huge rooms in the apartment, the swimming pool and the quiet
The size of the suites was a very pleasant surprise. I was grateful I found the Cal Mar on your website. There were other members of my extended family who stayed there also and they were singing my praises for finding a place with so much room. The location was perfect for our purposes.
The bathroom had no counter space.
Excellent location for recovery from jetlag. 30 minutes by taxi from LAX, quiet, clean, close to good eateries, shops and the beach.
I really liked the location. It's just one block away from 3rd Street Promenade, so I could shop til the stores close. Plus, Santa Monica Pier is just about 10 min walk from the hotel. Also, the room has a kitchen with silverwares, plates, pans & a microwave. When I got tired of eating out, I got food from Farmer's Market & cooked.
One of the lights in the dining room was broken, which was not a big problem though.
Plenty of space, great location, pleasant staff, reasonable parking charges
No air-con, pool not open until 9am
Hotel has large rooms (I had pool view) and two TV sets. It is walking distance to the beach and very close to the shop street on 3rd avenue
It is quite noisy as outside walls are not sound proof. Kichen could also be better (it reminded me my grandma's kitchen)
