Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows is an urban oasis perched on the scenic bluffs with views of the Santa Monica pier and Malibu beach making it an ideal hideaway. The hotel combines historic elegance with modern flair along with beautifully manicured grounds and fountains.
The Fairmont Santa Monica is one of our favorite places to stay. The view from the Tower rooms towards the Pier or Santa Monica Mountains is picture perfect.Everybody working there is very polite and makes you feel special. We enjoy their Fitness Club and the whirlpool a lot and makes our stay even more pleasant. The few BMW bikes they offer on a first come first serve basis are cool to ride and you see a lot in little time.
I had a very pleasant stay.... they even surprised with a birthday cake, and a very nice upgrade with my own personal sauna. Loved everything about this place.... location (right off the pier), shopping was right outside the hotel, room cleanliness. Would def stay here again!!! Thank you!
Enjoyed the hotel staff, amenities, and location during my recent visit to Santa Monica. Hotel was undergoing some remodeling. The grounds were lovely and the gym and spa were good.
We stayed the weekend of July 10th. The staff & property EXCEEDED our expectations! We can't wait to visit again!
The Fairmont Miramar is wonderful! The hotel staff goes out of their way to accomodate your every need. Since I booked through online travel website I wasn't able to request adjoining rooms, I called the hotel direct and x was more than happy to upgrade the second room to accomodate. This was my first contact with the hotel and once we arrived the great service and attention to detail continued. Leo and Azar at the Concierge desk were amazing! They were so helpful, knowledgable and patient. Some of the requests we heard from other guests were over the top/comical, but I'm sure they were taken care of. The workout facility was great and the patio right outside that overlooks the pool was so cozy. We rented a car for most of our stay, but there is so much to do within walking distance. I wish I remembered everyone's name we came in contact with at the hotel who made our trip so enjoyable, just too many! We will be back.
I stayed at the Fairmont in March 2009. The hotel is gorgeous...very beautiful grounds. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. My first day there, my room was a little cold so I turned up the thermostat, but it blew out cold air. I called the front desk and they immediately sent someone up. When it still didn't work, they offered to move me to another room, but the repairman came back and fixed it. They really took the time to make sure I was comfortable. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice big screen TV and clock radio with CD player. I ate only breakfast at the hotel...expensive, but I had to eat. I had a partial view of the beach. The hotel is about two to three blocks from the 3rd street promenade and right across the street from the beach, but you have to walk about four blocks to get to the pier. I checked out the fitness center, which faces the beach and pool. Nice facility. If I can afford it, then I would definitely stay again.
Wonderful experience! Definitely would come here again!
Great location-shopping, beach, food. Hotel was extremely nice from the grounds to the lobby to the room. Service was excellent and had great recommendations for restaurants. Hope to stay again.
The Fairmont just spent millions on this hotel and it shows. Our room was lovely and large. The staff was friendly and helpful. We liked the location. It was close to shopping and restaurants, but not in the center of the noise and traffic. It had an elegant and old feel to it. We would definitely go back.
Great place! Only drawback was the cost of room service food.
