I had stayed at this hotel before and liked it very much. I love the architectural style of the building which is very elegant. Excellent location. Helpful friendly staff.
I had booked a double "Prestige Room" for single occupancy but I later requested a twin bedded room, when a friend decided to join me on my trip. Whilst the twin bedded room was perfectly comfortable, I would not have described it as "Prestige".
Friendly, helpful staff combined with a truly excellent historic location with views of both the chateau and the Loire; very convenient for walking to the centre of Saumur.
Overall, nothing to note.
The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
The noisy American party and the way they took over the peace of the courtyard
We enjoyed the view from our room, 212. We appreciated the quiet for sleeping.
There were three things that made us uncomfortable in the room. There was no real hot water for showering. The TV was difficult to operate. The lighting beside the bed was inadiquate. The lighting should be over the bed for reading purposes.
Great Service, Restaurant across the courtyard was excellent too.
Position; views. Small but comfortable room. Pleasant, accommodating and helpful staff.
Hotel setting and staff were both excellent, also well positioned for restaurants etc.
Rooms was a bit scruffy and could do with fresh lisk of paint, coffee at breakfast was terrible
Comfortable hotel in an historic old building.
Bit more expensve than I expected
Sitting on the patio enjoying the view of the castle while drinking a glass of wine and eating Brie cheese. great atmosphere
The ease of check in and check out
Sattelite tv ? there were 3 channels
