Loved the historic charm and found myself taking a lot of photos of the interior of the hotel
The location is great, but there is no parking at the hotel, you must go to a public parking garage across the street. Not a long walk though and reasonable daily rate.
The location on the riverfront.
No but was only there one night.I love this hotel and will stay again. The location on the riverfront is very nice. I loved the brick wall in the room, it made is very charming and you are seemingly in the middle of this charming town.
Unfriendly atmosphere at check-in, no smiles, no information. In fact she first handed us the door key without telling us where to go. I paid for a riverview room and was given a street view and had to go back down stairs to tell her of the mistake. The hotel was nice and good location. Need to put out more information on parking situation and where to park to check-in. Also asked for more pillows, which we received but I never in my life have seen such flat pillows. It is the little things that add to your visit.
We loved the antique charm and feel coupled with modern needs. It was a perfect location for walking to both restaurants and local historic points.
Old history charm !
Our rooms had been reserved 2 weeks in advanced and they were not ready at 4:00 as stated Our luggage was held for us and we shopped on the River front for an hour.Impressed from the beginning we saw it! Right on the River. The elevator opened up right on the River front. Joey, our bell hop, was awesome and very accommodating! He gets a 10 rating!
We really liked the hotels location close to the river and the shopping. The staff was very helpful in explaining where everything was that we wanted to see and do.We both thought the hotel to be very charming. The wine and champagne every night was very entertaining. We both thought the room to be spacious and the candies and turned down bed at night to be nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Savanah.
location was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was the first time that we have stayed in a hotel that the staff came to your room to check if you needed anything. Loved it!!!
n/aBest place to stay in Savannah. Located above river st. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very nice, had a large bed and fireplace. I LOVED IT !
I liked the quaint historic look of the hotel. Everything was clean and well-kept. The location was great- right on River Street.
The series of elevator/stairs one had to take to get to certain rooms was confusing. But the worst part was due to the location. We could hear the muffled sounds of loud partying up until 2:00 a.m. due to the bars directly below us on River Street. The hotel was beautiful and historic. We had to pay to park in a parking garage, but that is the case for most downtown Savannah hotels. The hotel is very close to popular restaurants/bars and shopping in the historic district. While a convenient location, the nightlife is active and loud. Perhaps a room that does not face River Street would have been quieter. Bring earplugs or a white noise machine.
Location and view from room. Beautiful, historical building with great architecture. The room was decorated very nicely. Beautiful floor length windows and drapes.
The room was not as clean as I expected. The old wood floors were beautiful but dirty. They obviously had not been mopped in a while. Furniture was dusty. Our stay at the River Street Inn was a very enjoyable experience. You can't beat the location which overlooks River Street in the historical section of Savannah. The view of the river from the river side rooms is spectacular! Parking for the hotel can be a little problematic. There is no dedicated parking for the property so you will have to use a parking deck a couple of blocks away or find a vacant public space. There is a small public parking lot in front of the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.
