Wonderful staff. The concierge provided excellent tips and information. We had a great stay in a very comfortable hotel. The evening wine and warm bourbon was a fantastic touch.
Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent eating and drinking establishments on the premises. Yoga mat, umbrella and slipper socks in addition to standard wardrobe extras. Visually engaging art work throughout. Let them know in advance if you don't like sleeping with feather bedding.
Bad news: stale breakfast items, gym has 2 Precor machines neither working and 6-10lb dumbells and that's it; heat in rooms horrible, 3rd floor smelled like a sewer as soon as you get off elevator- this hotel looks of so cool but it's not for me.
Exceptional hotel would recommend to anyone. Great friendly staff. Beautiful room.
My family and I had a woulderful stay at the Alexis Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, very clean, staff very professional and friendly. The concierge was very helpfull with directions and flagging down a taxi for us. Also Lisa who provided amenities to our room. We look forward to another stay at the Alexis. Note: I have traveled alot both domestically and internationally, this is one of the top hotels that I have stayed at.
Wonderful hotel, great staff, beautiful rooms, comfy robes. Resturants in hotel had wonderful food, service and prices. Walking distance to many of the downtown attractions and along the free bus route. Internet was $10 daily, huge flat screen televisions and great work space. Not a hotel for children, but perfecet for business or a romantic getaway!
My daughter and I stayed at the Alexis over the Christmas Holiday Weekend. It was the most beautiful room we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot! We chose this hotel because our friends in Seattle had recommended it to us. We were not dissapointed! We will definitely stay there everytime we travel to Seattle which is quite often because my daughter is a competition dancer and we travel to Seattle quite often!
We really enjoyed so many aspects of this hotel, from the daily newspapers to the cute styling of the room. Unfortunately, the beds and the pillows were ridiculously uncomfortable. It may be that we are used to our temperpedic bed at home, but we returned a few days ago and my back still hurts. Both my husband and I could not sleep through the night and we returned exhausted. Again, it may just be that this is not what we are used to and we are being picky. Everything else about this hotel was AMAZING, but if you can't sleep then I guess those other things don't really matter...
We really liked the location. Parking was expensive. No free internet. Room was great, quiet and spacious.
Very nice comfortable hotel to stay. We would stay here again.
We wanted to stay at a nice smaller hotel and what a great place! Great location, great staff, rooms were clean and beads were nice! We will be back for sure. If you stay and want a good meal check out Harvest Vine on east Madison ( take a cab ) this hotel is on Madison and 1st so it's a 10 dollar cab but the food is amazing! I would stay at this hotel again for sure. We loved it. And it has a free private steam room that rocks!
I chose this hotel largely because it was the cheapest available for this weekend. For $ I think I could have had better. When I arrived at 4 PM, you would think the room would be ready, not so. They told me it was still being 'inspected' and would take a few more minutes. After about 20 minutes, they still weren't ready for me and I left my things and came back later. When I returned, the room was ready and don't get me wrong, it was a nice room and the bed was pretty good, but it wasn't worth the $ I paid. Internet in the business center was $ for 15 minutes and there was a snack and drinks tray in the room. You better look over the price list before you open anything. I was advised of a complementary wine tasting I could participate in and I don't know if they do that every night, but it's cheaper than taking anything in the room. Bottom line, they nickel and dime you and weren't even ready for me when I arrived. Not worth $.
We were housed in a room facing the alley. The alley seems to be a major connector for the fire engines and the garbage trucks so be prepared for lots of noise and little sleep. The room was nice but smaller than expected. The staff was great!
