It is a good price value for the area. It is a great location for that price.
The public spaces are very cluttered like it was a personal home and company was not expected. The garden was very nice but the area was not swept and the outdoor table was dirty. The inn keeper did not seem like someone cutout for that line of work. She had a lovely breakfast but did not tell you what to expect. We ate croissants and the butter and jam came when we were done. We finished our breakfast with cereal because we thought that was all there was. When we were done she offered eggs.
This is a bed and breakfast in a large older house in a leafy suburb of Seattle. This is a well maintained classic old house full of original art and a very nice collection of antique furniture. The owner is a former Russian journalist who spends a lot of her time writing in her study/library. Think of it like staying overnight at the grand house of some educated bohemian friends. The neighborhood is very quiet, the house is next to an Olmstead park. You'll feel pretty far from downtown - but its just a short taxi ride from downtown - 15 minutes and $10-15. I stayed in the the largest room - the house's former master bedroom. It has a short entry hall, to a large bedroom, with a king size bed, and a walk-in closet. It has a huge bathroom, and then a pair of french doors lead out to a huge second floor balcony with a small table and chairs overlooking the street.
I liked all of it. But some people may be put off by the relative informality of the place Not like a regular hotel at all - there is no front desk. You can easily end up in long conversations with the owner on politics, art and culture.
Magnificent 14,000 sqft Tudor Revival mansion built in 1914 on Seattle's original Millionaires' Row. A block from Volunteer Park, a short walk to commercial areas on Broadway and on 15th Ave, minutes from downtown, Pike Place Market, waterfront, Seattle Center, museums, hospitals, UW and much more. Each guest room or suite features private bath, 32 or 50 f...

The other guy seems to be impatient to my friend.Good location. But it's better to advise us how to get there from the airport . That could be a problem after we get off the plane.
Ambience and locationLovely B and B. Large clean room, cool in the summer heat. Darryl was friendly and informative about the area, house, things to do. The coffee downstairs was much appreciated. My kids loved the big breakfast table and interaction with other guests. Unlike some reviewers I do not need a cooked breakfast and the fruit, yogurt and muffins were excellent. Trying to think of an excuse to go back to Seattle to stay at Bacon Mansion again!

The best part of the bed and breakfast was the bed and breakfast itself. It is an extremely homey place. The beds were comfortable, the style was well-thought out and the bathroom - in my first room (I was moved at one point - was the standout.
I think that they have high expectations of those that stay with them, and i applaud them for that. But since I didn't meet the typical mold - i came solo, without my spouse - I think that it wasn't as pleasant of an experience that it could have been.It is certainly charming. The owners are certainly great at being personable. The location is good, and the price was affordable. If I were to go back again, I would most certainly go with my spouse, as I think that without that it threw them off of their game. I was very quiet on purpose. I felt like I was walking on eggshells at some points. Surely, this happens with bed and breakfasts. I understand that this is the case, but it seemed to be very strong in t...

Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient complementary shuttle to downtown.
The room was spacious and quiet.
It was nice having a free breakfast but wish the baked goods were better and more variety with fruit. Since we stayed there 6 nights, got really tired of those breakfasts.Located next to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, it still appeared to be a location used for tourists. They provide a shuttle downtown. The long walk downtown is not scenic or easy. Many sidewalks were blocked/detoured due to construction.
Walk to the Seattle city center, to the Pike Place Market, and to the Downtown Seattle attractions from a charming B&B on a tree-lined side street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Dozens of restaurants are nearby, and we're one block from buses to Downtown Seattle. Queen beds, private bathrooms, free on-site parking lot, free full hot breakfast, and free Wi...

Breakfast and free WIFI
Parking and price is horrible for what you are getting.
Breakfast included, spacious room.
Poor bathroom cleaning - hairs left over from previous guest remained in place throughout the stay. Also, breakfast quality and selection were much worse during the weekend than on week days.
