The location on the embankment in the Ortigia -- the old part of Syracuse -- was lovely. The rooms was very pleasantly and obviously decorated with white walls, blue tile and rustic furniture. A very agreeable and nicely priced small hotel. Breakfast buffet was generous. Parking was available nearby.
The free wifi and the location.
Unfortunately, the only room left was on the ground floor, and near the sewer, so got the occasional fly and smell. But was manageable.
The hotel staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I've had in Italy.
Friendly staff, lovely room, central location. All round a very good experience.
Helpful staff, great little restaurant "Gut"
Clean, the view and the staff are friendly.
helpful staff and the books in the lobby
noisiness of sea view room, on first floor, but realise it is not the fault of the hotel. We had no idea that the road would be so noisy.
Our room had sea view and was bright and airWe were not in the main building but this was not a problem as the building had a very nice roof deck
the hotel is on a main streeet which isnoisy on weekdays but overall the benefite were far far greater than this one minor issue
Beautiful location in the old part of town with woonderful view of the sea. The pared-down furnishing of the room made it nice and airy albeit perhaps a little lacking in comfort. The staff was friendly and laid back, breakfast was good.
The room was very high and bright - that was nice but could have been a little bigger. The bedstead was made of steel and it was easy to bump your shins against it.
Our favourite hotel. Beautiful sea views, elegant understated rooms, the best breakfasts we had in Sicily, and very helpful staff.
