Great hotel, kitchens are nice.
Main building door to rear of building was right beside the room door. The bed was right beside the room door. Constant use of the outside door by other guests combined with poorly soundproofed room door made for a noisy evening until the pool closed.
Everything for a family of four was there in our 2 bedroom condo other than a fold out couch in the living room. The beds were very comfortable and the long couch still worked for our oldest son. Service was great. Fantastic lake and pool view.
No adult time for the pool or jacuzzi.
Nice location with walkways along the lake. The room was spacious and staff were very friendly.
I would of liked a fan in the room.
location on Lake Okanagan with great views large, comfortable room with full kitchen lots of amenities such as gym, pool, hottub, spa, dock
'Local' restaurant had great setting but you will leave hungry. Portions are small. Ordered scallops as entrée and got scallops, 1/2 a tomato and 1/2 a lemon.nothing else. Adding risotto or rice would turn it into a great dish.
The pool; the restaurant (Local); the location (Summerland)
Really liked the resort feel. Great layout huge deck off of our room which was not the highest level room. Nice kitchenette, nice spacious bathroom and everything very clean. Front desk want outstanding but they were nice.
Private balcony ,full kitchen, quiet neighbourhood and beautifully finished room.Robes in room.
Long confusing walk to room . Our room overlooked road . Had to drive into town to find reasonably priced food.
The Summerland Waterfront Resort was very attractive. It seemed slightly understaffed but this was probably just due to a slower season, but there was always someone available when needed. When we checked in there was an error and we were given a very nice room with a lake view on the top/third floor. Unfortunately, upon entering the room it was deemed unavailable and we were substituted another room that was not quite as nice and on the first floor, but still more than met our needs. The main appeal of this resort is that it is located in the heart of three different regions of the Okanagan wine country. It is 20 minutes (by car) to the Naramata bench, 25-35 minutes to the golden mile/black sage region and around 30 minutes to the Kelowna area wineries. Being right in the middle makes the resort an excellent base of operations for a few days of tours and tastings. Many units have a full kitchen, dishes and utensils and lots of cupboard space available. Run into town and grab some groceries and enjoy sitting on your patio, gazing at the sunrise over the lake while having your breakfast and coffee. There is a wonderful path that runs along the lake that is perfect for a run in the morning or just a casual, relaxing walk in the evening. Local lounge and grille is situated on the same property and is definitely worth a visit... or two. The food is fresh, local and reasonable. The service is excellent and you will not be disappointed. Overall I would strongly recommend this resort. It is one of the best kept secrets of the Okanagan and with an excellent location, and very reasonable room rates, you get an excellent value for your dollars.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the resort by the up to date furnishings, and pleasant decor. The manager went beyond expectations by showing us a map of the wineries and pointing us to one that had an excellent dining experience overlooking the lake. There were all sorts of special touches in the room that went above and beyond, including a hairbrush and beautifully scented toiletries. We would stay again if we are in the area..
We thoroughly enjoyed the setting and view from our spacious room. It was peaceful and restful. Sitting on the balcony enjoying morning coffee and laying by the pool were delightful too. The on site cafe was great, since Summerland town centre was ~ 5 km from the hotel.
though the rooms were nice there was not much to do as the hotel was in the middle of nowhere and you were obliged to eat in their expensive restaurant
The staff and service are top notch, all concerns are attended to promptly. The average room is a bit small and dark (especially in the winter) on the bluff side, but overall is beautifully and tastefully decorated. We absolutely love the indoor, warmed garage parking! Wish there was an indoor, warmed pool!! No real negatives to this place. There are also fabulous walking trails right out the door and a dog park not far away!
This is a lovely resort that caters to families and people who travel with their pets. I wouldn't bring a senior or anyone with mobility issues here. It's tough to get around, lots of stairs and odd (i.e. far away) placement of the elevator.
I stayed at the Summerland resort for one night; we should have stayed longer! Very quiet location right on the lake! Views are fantastic! The 2 bedroom condo was simply stunning; full kitchen and even a washer dryer. I would reccomend this to anyone that want to chill for a week end.
Great location, and far exceeded my expextations. Very nice rooms, very clean, great faciilities! Great place to take a family. Also nice to have a full functioning kitchen.
