the location was close enough to everything but not an exciting area
tiny room barely fit 2 single beds. we were stepping over our suitcases the entire stay. the pool on the roof is nice but there was a cockroach on the floor at the gyms kind of ruined my workout paid for wifi and it didnt even work on my phone what a rip off every other hotel I stayed at has free wifi wtf is that?!?!?
Comfortable beds and rooms
Cockroach crawled next to bed
Actualy the only positive thing I can say about this hotel is relatively good location , good acces to the city center via close distance to the Edge Cliff train and bus station.
I ‘we been in many hotels around the world in my 30 years’ of business life. My experience in this hotel is big disappointment in terms of value for money , business ethics and behavior of staff at the reception. Couple of facts: hotel declared as non smoking hotel. I had to change the room as the tobacco smell was so strong I couldn’t bear it. At the reception asked me to pay the drinks I didn't use, asked for higher price then I booked through booking.com. In addition they request very high price for internet use and breakfast.
The location was great A short trip to thje City on the train, or drive along the harbour shoreline. Plenty to do.
the location was what did it the most. it allowed a fair amount of the city to be accessed on foot.
the room set up wasn't the most comfortable.
Elevators were poor. Card swipe failed consistently. Internet was expensive and slow. Long wait for a taxi. Carpets were dirty. Room was smelly. Room service was expensive, yet poor quality. Reception Staff were keen to answer phones and leave you stood there.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the roof top pool is nice, as well as the hotel bar.
Even though I liked the hotel overall, I left with slight doubts on the price/value ratio, I think the roof top pool drives the prices. For not too much more one can get a 4 or 5 star hotel right smack downtown. What I absolutely didn't like were the untinted street side room windows, which you have to keep the blinds down on at all times or you are on display to the outside.
A good hotel in a good position with friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant
Efficient room cleaning
Booking was initially lost but then we were accomodated
The location was excellent. Charging $355 a night for NY was excessive.
The bathroom needed cleaning There was a muddy footprint in the bathroom when we arrived.
The pillows, which were like rags filled with air....the security system that didnt operate with my card (and never would as the card required is not the same as your room key)
Staff were excelent and very obliging when requested for items such as toothpaste and shaving cream and razor that were not in the room
