The car was nice to drive. Comfortable.Cons:
My budget car was not available. Was told I would have to wait up to three hours for one to be returned. Told I could go to an upgrade for 40 more dollars. Told to return car full but given a car with 3/4 tank. The person at the counter was very rude. Very bad experience!7.6 Good

Only one person on pickup and drop off delayed a few minutes. 47500 miles on car and driver's side mirror would not adjust by controls, needed to do by hand. Car drove well and was comfortable.8.0 Very good

Great value for one-way rental. Vehicle was in like-new condition and exceeded my expectations. Drop-off was super easy.Cons:
Toledo branch manager Jon Orr was condescending, arrogant, and power-hungry. He refused to allow me to me take possession of the vehicle because my AAA number had not been attached to the reservation I booked via Hotline 10 days earlier. I called Hertz corporate and they were able to fix the issue easily and directed Mr. Orr to allow me to pick up the vehicle as planned, which he did, with no apologies to me and while announcing that he would report the corporate employee who had helped me for non-compliance. I would expect a more professional attitude from a branch manager.Alamo

Car was older and had a bad tire roar when driving it. On the 4th day of my rental my schedule changed and I needed to get back to Tennessee. The airline couldn't get me a flight out, and Alamo was going to charge me almost 400.00 to drive the car from Toledo OH to Knoxville TN. I had to end up renting another car, which was a big headache, and drive back on a tight schedule. I probably should give an unlimited mileage rental a poor rating for wanting to charge me so much for a schedule change but to be nice we will call it mediocre.6.0 Okay

Price was fantastic 35$ for a one day one way.Cons:
I was completely shocked to learn that Alamo does not take debit cards only credit cards. I almost found myself with having to go to somewhere else paying last minute prices. Fortunately my wife had a credit card, so we were okay. I was so upset about this. Kayak needs to make this immediately clear when I make the reservation. It was a very unpleasant surprise.10.0 Wonderful
