Set in the rugged landscape above the picturesque village of Tasiillaq in Greenland, Hotel Angmagssalik offers comfortable rooms and a buffet breakfast. The village can be reached by helicopter from Kulusuk Airport. All the heated rooms at Angmagssalik Hotel have a small work desk. Many rooms feature a satellite TV and private bathroom with shower. Others have an in-room sink and shared bathroom facilities. Dishes like meatballs and fish are served at the on-site restaurant. Refreshing drinks are offered in the bar. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking. The hotel offers free transfers to the village heliport. The village centre is located down a steep hill, and has a bar, pizzeria and a supermarket. A football pitch and a museum can also be found.
The view from dining room window was breathtaking, the organised tours were terrific, staff were very helpful.
The dining room was crowded. Although not really a complaint as it was responsible for the view, the location of the hotel made the walk to and from the village, harbour and other sites exceptionally steep. We would also have preferred a double bed rather than 2 singles but this appears to be the norm in Greenland. The price of room and meals was more than we would like to pay but we were expecting this as Greenland is very expensive.
