These officers can choose to work on their days off, and receive a bonus or commission for every ticket written. In certain areas, the fine for speeding can be as high as $200, plus court fees. After crossing an intersection pay close attention to the posted speed limit. In some cases, the speed limit can drop from 45 mph to 25 mph without warning.
