Great Irish Pub next door, Off Track Betting across street, $20 cab ride into downtown. Beats the unresonable parking fees in town. We had 2 rooms and 6 Harleys and had a great time. In town they want to charge you $25 to park each bike overnight.
This is a budget hotel, and there's nothing fancy, but we spent two comfortable nights in a good east-end location (the Beaches), with free parking and the Queen streetcar line right out front. This has long been one of Toronto's kitchiest neighborhoods, with plenty of small restaurants and one-of-a-kind shops within a few blocks. The rooms are unusually narrow, but if you don't mind squeezing past the beds, you'll find an in-room fridge and free wireless internet. We got up too late to try the free breakfast.
the staff are very helpfull and bed comfort are good, and if you don't have a car you can always take the bus because there is a bus station near the hotel to the subay, but the breakfast was Satisfies. and the future i'll think if i'm going to choose this hotel again.
This was the best seceret in Toronto, free parking, and the streetcar make this a great deal. Although the ride is a bit more than 10 min (almost 20) it is still an awsome deal $3.00 to downtown, try to park for that. Also has a fridge in the room as well, free breakfast, and a deal with the Irish Bar on the corner for $10 off your meal (priced around $13). You cannot beat the value. The hotel is less than 2 blocks from the beach as well, with a park in-between them. Anthony from the front desk is a wealth of info if this is your first visit. I will return to this hotel!
this hotel is the gem of toronto hotels. only ten minutes fromdowntown Toronto by the streetcar. five minutes from leslieville. a perfect little gem of a shopping district with great bakeries etc. the beaches area is quaint and quiet away from the hustle of the big city. make sure to take the street car farther east to the PIE SHACK for some apple pie. this hotel always has the friendliest staff. cleanest rooms and a new bonus, in room mini fridges. we stay here every trip to Canada. half the price of downtownand free parking. just get a metro pass and you are set.
This new hotel is on a major Toronto street surrounded by a variety of quality restaurants and interesting shops and events. You can go out the hotel's front door and take a pleasant walk on the city streets or cross the street and walk over to the city park that I could see from my hotel window. Parking is next to the hotel and is free to guests (an exceptional value in Toronto). It is on a main transportation route so you can park your car at the hotel, leave it there and take Metro downtown- another special perk. The staff are friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast bar has enough basic foods to satisfy most people. There are 3 items you might want to consider before you book your reservation: 1. There is no elevator. So if you are on the 2nd floor, you'll have to carry your bags up stairs that seem a little too steep for a new building. 2. This is on a main Toronto street so there is noise outside your window. I got used to it when it was masked by noise from the air conditioner. 3. There is no refrigerator in the room. I had brought some food with me but had some inconvenience having to repeatedly refill my cooler with ice for the 3 days I spent there. Despite the above, the value of this hotel is exceptional. I intend to stay here every time I go to Toronto.
All we wanted was a place to sleep, and these low-priced, Euro-sized rooms filled the bill. A nice, clean, comfortable hotel in a good east-end location, with a friendly desk clerk and free, on-site parking. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We would stay again.
Stay for 4 nights. Great location. Walking distance to the beaches and a quick street car ride to downtown and the subway. Free parking was great, but lot was very tight. One night we had to park in another lot ( owned by hotel ) because it was full. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Room was nice and clean but very very small. It was ok for us as we didn't spend much time there, but I wouldn't want to try to fit a family in there. 2 adults, and we would have to move at times to let the other person by. Breakfast was good. It was a really great value for the money. My only complaint was on the day we checked out. I hadn't even checked out yet ( but were beginning to load our stuff into the car ) and when I got back to the room to get the last of our stuff, the maid had already been in the room and took the last of my stuff including my purse. She just lost her tip! She claimed she came chasing after me with the last of the stuff, but I find that hard to believe as it was nicley tucked away on her cart. If I go back to Toronto I will definetly stay here again. I'll just make sure to watch my stuff closer.
Our stay was short and sweet but, the staff was extremely helpful, pleasant and accomdating. The room was just that... a room, but, we weren't looking for anything more than that. If you're looking for a large room in an extravagent hotel, this is not the place for you. If you're just looking for a clean place to sleep and shower, than this might be the place for you. It's conveniently located on Queen St. One streetcar takes you directly downtown. We parked the car in the free hotel parking and took the streetcar.
The location of the hotel was good for getting in and out of the downtown, but the staff was great!! When asked for locations of places to eat or places to go, they had the answers right there ready to go along with the directions to get there. On one occasion they didnt have an answer on the spot and called me 10 minutes later in the room to give me the information. I highly recommend this hotel mainly because the staff made it easier for us.
I enjoyed my stay in days Inn
Only place next to the ''beaches'' area but an OK place. Typical Days Inn. Clean and comfortable but not a modern gem. Bring a bike with you to explore the neighborhood. Hotel has no elevator but enough cont. breakfast for the price.
