Location and price.
Fire alarm went off at 5am (Sunday morning). Seems this isn't that out of the ordinary after reading others reviews.
Stayed there this weekend to see the Nutcracker and spend a day at the AGO and ROM. The hotel is in a great spot without killing your bank account. Spadina Ave has character and is fun to explore on your down time. The hotel is clean (although the building may look sketchy haha) and the staff are very nice.
Fire alarm went off at 5AM - that sucked but obviously a rare thing. The water pressure in the shower could have been better but I am just being nit picky.
The only good thing is its location in downtown.
It's not safe here. Anyone can use the elevator which belong to the mall and can go to the hotel rooms at night. Staffs are not helpful. One chinese women staff is rude. This place is served by chinese staffs mostly.
I didn't get her name but the young lady who checked us in on 6/19/15 just before six pm..... was incredible. i had accidentally booked for the following week. She was very helpful in getting us into the hotel and changing the following day to a 2 bedroom. unfortunately she was not there on saturday or sunday. i had asked the night desk clerk her name and he said sandra BUT i'm not too sure of that because he was the weakest part of the trip
when we switched rooms on friday. my buddy forgot his charger in the single bed room. he realized much later.....probable midnight or later, it was when we got back from the concert. my friend went down to ask the guy if something had been turned in from cleaning......the fellow seemed unhelpful in every way and did NOT relay the message to the day crew. even though my friend had asked him to have the cleaner keep an eye out for it. it just shows the wild swing in customer service. luckily the exceptional efforts by the young lady did overcome the guys lack luster service
A delight for the senses!
It was centraly located near places we wanted to visit.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired, Hard to find P3 to park our car.
The location was great. I attended a conference at the Metro Toronto Convention center and it was about a 30 minute walk, which is what I wanted. Plenty of restaurants and shopping along the way. The free continental breakfast was nice.
The treadmill in the gym was broken. It is located on a busy main street with the entrance not needing a key card to enter. You enter the front door and take an elevator up to the third floor to the check-in, but could easily take the elevator directly to the rooms in the hotel with out any security. That was kind of sketchy.
Staff moved me to quiet room on request Decent excercise facilities Reasonable location to Convention Center Included breakfast Not "fancy" but had everything practical that was needed Close to inexpensive and decent restaurants
Originally had a room on "main" floor next to young male idiots who wouldn't e quiet. But staff kindly moved me to an upgraded room on the floor bove in a VERY quiet wing of the buliding
-friendly staff -location -free continental breakfast -nice view of downtown -comfortable room -gym -room includes microwave and mini fridge
-the plumbing wasn't working for approx. 3-4 days and I stayed there for one week -walls aren't very sound-proof -if you have to leave early in the morning to do something, it can be hard to find your way out at first through the closed mall
Good deal for the value, the room was huge, clean and the hotel was much more than it looked.
The location felt a little sketchy and so was the neighborhood/parking area.
Loved the location and the staff! Parking ramp under the hotel for guests for $10 a night was a great deal too! The hotel is located in a mini mall where u could get food from the food court or shop. We were upgraded to jacuzzi suite for free upon arrival just because the suite was available.
The jacuzzi didn't work but oh well. We still loved the hotel!
