Enjoying a natural setting doesn't mean losing sleep in a tent. You can experience Uluru's raw beauty, in 5-star comfort at Sails in the Desert, a member of Pullman Hotels. After an envigorating hike, the Red Ochre Spa is just the place to relax or perhaps visit the Mulgara Gallery to view the stunning Indigenous artwork on display

Extremely expensive, poorly maintained property. Furniture and curtain stained, crumbs on couch, box spring shreaded, peeling paint, odd smell, hole in bedsheet, chunks missing from drawers. Food is very expensive and nothing to write home about. The setting is spectacular.

This is a nice place to stay and I labored over which hotel for weeks and was somewhat disappointed w. my final decision. I should have stayed at Desert Gardens for a couple of reasons: 1. any Voyages hotel guest can use the Sails in the Desert pool so, you have non-Sails guests coming to your pool and by 12pm there are no more chairs! For what appears to be an 'exclusive' hotel it is not for what you pay. 2. the staff was few and far between; I saw a patron actually porr himself coffee from behind the restaurant counter at breakfast 3. at check-in, the receptionist looked shocked and annoyed that I pre-paid using travel agency, she became very snippy with me even after I showed her the travel agency paperwork. 3. We get to the room and the curtain is broken and there is a whole in the deck door which meant we would let in those darn black flies. All-in-all this is a nice hotel for the Outback but does NOT compare to real 5 star hotels! I say, save the money and book the Desert...

Outback desert living was quite an experience. First of all, there are bugs everywhere-e ven in the lobby. It can't be prevented. In your room, they provide you with a can of bug spray. To me, this was more of a 2 star hotel. The rooms did provide everything you need. You have to check your bed at night for bugs. Uluru itself was very hot. Tip:buy the fly nets, they are everywhere in Uluru. They constantly go for your face.

Prices are either the average per night price per room or first night of stay. You can select to display the prices with or without our estimate of taxes & fees (which may not appear on provider's booking page but will be charged at hotel checkout). Before you complete your reservation, verify the total cost on the provider's site. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.

More questions or if you have a bad price to report to us
Please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
