I enjoyed my stay at this hotel so much that I have booked it again for my visit to the area this September.
This place is all I expected minus the staff, very poor service front desk help was very rude. Housekeeping was very polite, and really helpful, maybe front desk and housekeeping should change positions. I just cant get pass how rude the front desk staff was, other than that I would say it's a clean and great place to stay.
Traveled for business. Overall was pleased with everything.
We picked the Hyatt Place Utica because it was convient to our destination mostly. Cost and the Hyatt name were also factors. The HPU turned out to be an exellant choice. Price was reasonable, the hotel was very clean, the staff more than friendly, bed was comfy and the food and other amendities met our expectaions (and we do travel a lot). Assuming that things have not changed since March 2010, I would recommend the HPU for just about everybody that is not a 'high roller'.
I generally like the Hyatt Place which is why I shose to stay here on a 12 day business trip. The day of my trip, I realized there was no microwave or workout room; although I realize this was my fault since I looked at the ammenities before booking the trip. The room was nice and had a good quality bed and pillows. I appreciate the wireless internet connection, as some other hotels only offer wire connections. I also liked that the television swiveled for viewing in bed or the living room. Dissappointed the only ice machine was in the lobby (I was on the top floor) and even though the kitchen offers 24-hour food service (did not discover that until Day 10) there is no in-room menu. Overall, I like the hotel and would stay here again, although not for longer than 4 days.
This may only be a 3-star hotel but it has 5-star amenities. The continental breakfast was outstanding and the people associated with the hotel couldn't have been more helpful. They cheerfully provided directions when asked and always greeted you with a smile when you entered the hotel. This was a real find! Highly recommend
I was very impressed with the service and comfort of this hotel and I will recommend it to my friends and family. The front desk provided excellent service and were very friendly. I already have plans to return to this hotel in the Spring.
We had a wonderful stay! He loved the TV and I loved the posh room. We stayed out late and when we got back at 2 in the morning, we were able to get a pizza and some starbucks coffee all made fresh. The staff was helpfull and pleasant. We had very few complaints and they were not even big things. The website said there was a DVD player in the room, but there wasn't. There was no safe for our valuables like it stated in the hotel brochure. We felt the breakfast ended too early for a weekend. We went down at 9:45 and most of the food was already put away. Also, there were no jacuzzi rooms and no whirlpool in the pool area. Still, it was by far one of the best hotel experiences we have had!
I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was spacious with a state of the art television. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Beautiful, quiet room with lots of amenities, helpful staff, great location (nearby shopping, restaurants), good value & nothing negative to report.
I'm a swimmer and wished the pool was more centralized and had a whirlpool as well, but the remainder of our stay, room, service, etc. was exemplary.
