Situated in the centre of Val Thorens, Europe's highest resort, Residence L'Altineige is in a rural, mountainous location, just 100 metres from the slopes. The residence's apartments all include balconies, private bathrooms, towels, linens and fully equipped kitchenettes. Ski storage is provided for bulky ski equipment and cribs are available for families with small children. Parking and laundry facilities can be found nearby and the residence's multilingual staff can help with any queries regarding the local area. Val Thorens offers year round skiing with 140 kilometres of marked runs. It is also located at the top of the 'Three Valleys', one of the largest ski areas in the world, with 600 kilometres of pistes and 200 ski lifts. The village also has a snow park, six kilometre toboggan run, ice skating, tennis courts and a ski area reserved for children. Guests can ski directly into the village and visit the numerous bars, cafes and restaurants for some well earned après ski. The nearest train station 37 kilometres away in Moûtiers. Lyon Airport is 193 kilometres away with an approximate driving time to the resort of three hours. General Information: Reception opening hours: 8 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM. Closed Wednesday. Please note: Room keys can only be collected on Saturday between 5 PM 8 PM. Please notify the residence directly if you will be arriving after the reception is closed. Televisions and towels are not provided free of charge and can be hired locally. Please note: Apartments do not receive a daily cleaning/maid service.
