Breakfast was awesome. Clean room and bathroom. Towel and linen smell so fresh....
Very pretty, historic house with a nice wraparound porch. Scenic location, making for a peaceful drive. Innkeepers greeted us, showed us to our room & called us by name each time they saw us. The dining room is very handsome & breakfast was a nice treat.
We were not happy to find that our room was not in the actual house, but in a separate building. It was very small and somewhat musty. We did not have a tv or a thermostat. We were cold until the heat kicked on after 11pm, then woke up too hot at 3am.Clearly, the Taylor House Inn has a nice location and is a beautiful home. The guest book was full of great compliments. If our room had actually been in the house, we would have likely had a completely different experience. As it was, the Little Room, the guest room off the Red Cottage, was disappointing. The room is small and not charming. I would recommend the inn for location and uniqueness, but I would recommend you ensure that you have a room in...
Friendly staff, excellent food, the location was good.
We had a room adjoining us and we could hear the alarm clock next door. Our host family was very accommodating. Would recommend for future stays.
I felt at home. It was a very comfortable space.
You can see some wear but you can also see the improvements. This is the perfect place for enjoying the mountains. It is between Boone and Banner Elk and a quick stop for about anything you need. Has a very friendly, careing and accommedating staff. I will be back!
