as long as the price is reasonable on my next trip, i would stay here or at any country in suites hotel.
I do not recommend this hotel due to it's poor construction. If you have to stay there insist on the upper floor, otherwise, you might experience the following. First off, when I finally settled into the room I was assigned on the second floor, the tv was inoperable. The desk clerk offered to switch but do to the late hour, I declined. The nightmare only just begun however. At around 10 pm, occupants arrived in the room just above me. How do I know? The noise (foot traffic, water/shower running etc) was deafening. I actually feared the ceiling was going to cave in. I could also hear their conversation through the ceiling. And no it wasn't the voices from adjoining rooms. This was through the ceiling!!! Needless to say, it was not a comfortable stay. I would have left except the room was prepaid and it was too late in the evening to find another hotel.
Great pool and hot tub. Very good self service breakfast. Clean sizeable room. Comfortable bed. Flat screen TV. Very affordable rates. Highly recommend this hotel.
We enjoyed our stay here, good location, clean, comfortable room, with lots of space, good pool and hot tub. Good dining nearby, short drive to DC.
Hotel was not as new or modern as I had expected. The room was furnished in a strange way. In a very large space there was a very small chair and nothing more. When we inquired as to what was missing, perhaps a sofa, we were told that the room furnishings were all the same. It was a strangely furnished room.
Made reservations in advance for a guaranteed late arrival. Arrived and hotel did not have our requested room. The hotel accomodated us and said they would correct error next day but we would not be able to get into our new room until after the maids cleaned it. Stated it wouldn't be aproblem as we would not be back until late that night. We took our baggage with us and went about our business. Returned to hotel to find our requested room type once again was not available. Once again the hotel accomodated us by up grading us to a jacuzzi suite. Entered suite and found it to be a handicapped accessible suite. Suite had several problems such as hot water faucet not working in jacuzzi tub, toilet loose from floor and shower curtain to short for handicapped shower which led to bathroom floor being flooded when shower was taken. The room was also next to the pantry for the contnental breakfast so we had a very early wake up call from all the noise the staff made. At check out, hotel tried to bill us extra for the suite when they claimed the night before it would be at regular room rate since our original room request was messed up. Oh, first room, wife woke up with a beetle (no bed bug) on pillow. We had stayed there once before without a problem, but after this weekend stay, we will not be going back anytime soon
The hotel was overall very nice. Facilities were clean. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. However, my wife and I had two issues that really ruined our overall hotel experience. First, our room had a very strong musty smell. So offensive that we had to buy electric air fresheners to mask it. It took a couple of hours the first night for the air freshens to do their work so half of our 1-day stay was affected. The second problem was the pool, or better yet, it's location. For some reason they put the pool right next to guest rooms so the noise from the people frolicking was pretty bad since our room was closest and we went to bed early. Had the pool been crowded, this would have been bad enough for us to request a new room. On a positive note, the staff at the desk was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. I give the two we dealt with 5 stars! If they can get their rooms smelling fresh and nice, this hotel IMO would be highly recommended. Because from a cleanliness standpoint the room was exceptional. If we returned to the area and the room smell was taken care of we would likely stay there again, but not in a room near the pool. But getting rid of the smell might be difficult depending on where it's coming from.
Good, clean hotel. Quiet and well-run. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was wonderful!! Front staff were very welcoming and helpful, as we were new to the area. The suite was large enough for 4 people to watch TV and still have privacy in the the other room. We will stay here again when we return in the spring! A little hard to find off Old Crain Highway - call ahead for directions.
Friendly front desk, fresh baked cookies and overall staff was great. Clean room and excellent overall stay, would stay again especially now that I know where it is located. Just a little hard to find, since it's sign on Route 301 is not as bright as the others.
Hotel is fairly new, and is very clean and spacious. Comparable to other Country Inn and Suites that I have stayed in before. I will stay here again.
I am a smoker and would return to this hotel in spite of this. I was able to smoke outside as I do at home and my children were able to breathe smoke free air. The rooms and the bathroom were exceptionally clean. The continental breakfast was great. The children enjoyed the pool, it was not crowded. The desk staff were wonderful, the only problem was none of the cleaning staff spoke English and I do not speak Spanish so there were problems conveying when they could clean the rooms. We had family at three different hotels in the area and I would say that mine was much cleaner and bigger for the amount that I paid. I will recommend it to anyone staying in the Waldorf area.
Very pleasant hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast including the waffles. Location was a little tricky to spot from the highway, but it was nice and quiet. Had planned to use the pool, but we didn't have time or energy for it.\nWould definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
Very nice, spacious room with work area perfect for business traveler; ample breakfast w/ good variety to choose from; friendly staff
