I was really impressed with the friendly service and the food and service was really good. they were very accomodating. The cooked breakfast was very good and well presented but i feel the other offer eg,cereals ,yogurts were a bit of a let down. Would have appreciated a pot of coffee at breakfast and not to have had to made my own toast. Beds very comfortable .
Room was a little basic and the curtains etc bit flowerey . Shower also on the basic side and towels getting a little tired.
staff were brilliant, food was very very good and linen/en-suite tip top.
Whilst en-suite was 2010, shower hot water supply was 1810. Now plumbing has invented taps, why was there no radiator control so that the room could be cooled down? Don't use room 35 - escape door in corridor outsde was banging up to midnight so no sleep!
Very nice hotel. It was very quiet so I could relax after a hard day work. I liked everything
Hotel premises had character, staff friendly helpful and responsive, food good and good value, especially the full English breakfast, room comfortable.
Room unexpectadly warm - needed window open which meant we had noise from a fan? or other machine until midnight and early (6) am.
location and clean bright room
The peace & quite, exellant location
Excellent breakfast pleasant staff
Smell of cleaning products ovrpowering. fire alarm went off at night. (false alarm)
Excellent bedroom (with a superb view) in a friendly pub with a good selection of real ale!
despite the weather, the hotel is nicely situated and very pleasant promenade to stroll along. There are several shops and hostelries to visit.
the hotel itself requires some modernisation but the bars and restaurant are fine.
Superb views of the Welsh hills and river Dee nicely positioned nearness gto both Chester and Liverpool, well appointed rooms and good value for money
