The staff was very welcoming and helpful with all our queries and the requirements. Rooms are quite large and offers some good views of Capitol building and Washington monument. Food is quite good. Overall good value for money.
It was conveniently located to downtown DC.
The air conditioning didn't work, there was an additional $30 per day charge for parking that was not disclosed at the time of booking, my "quiet room" was right next to the elevator, there was pronounced water damage on the walls, and the queen room I booked turned out to be a full.
Good located, right off the highway!
I liked that it was walking distance from alot of destinations of interest. The staff was very helpful. It was a good price and good value for the money.
There was a problem with the lighting in our room that never got fixed while we were there. And it was a little loud on weekends because they have parties at the pool with out side guests. They did have limited parking and it did cost to park.
Very friendly staff Great location if you are staying for a nationals game not sure about the distance of other attractions in the city. We stayed one night for the game than left. Comfortable bed Quick and easy check in and out Aside from parking it was absolutely wonderful. Anyone who calls the neighborhood the projects clearly has no idea what the projects truly are. We walked back to the hotel from the bar around 2am and not a single person was out. So I am not sure how that assumption came about. Maybe because the surrounding area is under construction. In not sure. This is by no means a Ritz Carlton so don't expect the extras. This is a place to sleep for the night and they served their purpose well.
The parking was not very good. Every Saturday and Sunday they have a pool party which is great except the people who go take up all the space for the actual hotel guests. It also did not help that they let people park there for the nationals game. The man in charge of the parking was clearly overwhelmed and we wound up waiting about 20 minutes before he figured out what to do and where we should park. My suggestion for future guests get there as early as possible for a parking spot. The rooms were a little outdated but they were clean.
less than a 10 minute walk to the Nationals Baseball stadium and about a 30 minute walk to the national mall. The walk was worth it, don't have to worry about parking downtown. Hotel was renovated, great if you are going to be out all day.
Con- 25$ per night for parking in their deck
Proximity to the ball park was good.
Bed was uncomfortable. Distance from historical buildings is not close.
The pool the hotel has is pretty nice. With the weather picking up in temperature it is nice to swim, especially after wearing a suit all day in the city.
The room I stayed in did not have a coffee machine like most hotels I've been to have. I would have been nice if I could make a cup or two without having to walk somewhere to get it. Overall the room was pretty basic.
The location is really bad it is pretty close to the national park, but the neighborhood is like projects really bad
Bed comfort ok an shuttle in am helped. Walking distance from the Capital Mall is un-realistic.
Cockroaches in the bathroom and duct tape on windows.
The hotel is old, but has been renovated well recently. Nothing over the top, but well done with clean land comfortable rooms. The staff, from housekeeping to managers, were all professional and welcoming. The pool was fantastic, and the secure parking was something that made the stay even more relaxing. Able to walk 1 mile to great local restaurants and bars, with the nationals ball park down the road too. Within 1 mile, we were at the department of education, and only a few more blocks to the national mall. Great Great location for the price. Also, may have been the best wi-fi at a hotel I've ever had. Full service, and fast everywhere in the hotel.
The breakfast buffet was ok. Nothing great, but for DC prices, it was ok. No coffee in room...There's a McDonalds across the street, and the coffee at breakfast was good, but figured there'd be coffee makers in the room.
The beds were more like hammocks. The interior is a bit dated and the upholstery could use some cleaning. There were no bugs or mold though and the maid staff did a good job. The food is mediocre at best and the bar poorly stocked. We were there for a conference though so we didn't (fortunately) spend much time in the hotel.
Staff was excellent--they were extremely knowledgeable, and went out of their way to be helpful.
This place is not very clean. The room I was in didn't appear to have been vacuumed, and the linens weren't very clean. The entire hotel looks kind of dingy and run-down--it doesn't seem like the hallways or main lobby area are cleaned regularly.....
#1 Location #2 Excellent Breakfast
Due to an unforeseen circumstance, I had to check out more than 24 hours earlier than the end of my reservation. They would not refund even one penny.
