Staff was friendly. Hotel looked very nice. It should have been a great night.
Difficult trying to find if you are not familiar with the area. Room leaked water which woke us in middle of night. Was staying at hotel for a medical trip. Missed first night's stay due to flight cancellation which was not refundable (Priceline's trip insurance is really only good if you are dying or are in a major disaster). Then, had to change rooms in the middle of the night due to major water leak in the ceiling of our room. We had not slept in nearly 36 hours prior to getting there. So this was overall a miserable experience. Would have liked compensation or credit for our interrupted night of sleep...staff was aware that I had health issues and that we had been through a horrible trip even getting to the hotel. I was offered more tea...never arrived in our room. Staff was pleasant...found us a new room...but the damage had already been done.
Room was clean and front desk service great!
Parking was not patrolled and not convenient. Room was not cleaned by housekeeping.
Though we did not use it, the lobby bar (and the entire lobby area) looked very nice and inviting.
Health club was being redone and they had set up some ancient equipment in a meeting room to act as the replacement. TV did not pick up any channels for 1st 24 hours we were there. For the past 4 years we have spent the Thanksgiving holiday in the area. Each year we were in a different hotel that we obtained through Priceline. Of the 4, the Crown Plaza in White Plains was (by far) the best. The Renaissance and the Hilton in Rye ranked very similarly in our eyes. Both were relatively sprawling and in need of updating, but otherwise fine. The TV problems (wind had knocked out the dish according to the hotel) and the inadequate temporary exercise facility knocked the Renaissance down a notch, but they did compensate with free internet. The Doral definitely ranked in 4th place as it was severely in need of updating. Of course, the price was right at the R...
construction noise at 8:30am in front of our room (drill, fixing light fixture)Better then expected, very upscale.
Friendly and helpful staff
Room location (far away from elevator), and it's isolated locationThe hotel seemed to have a good renovation effort, upscale and modern interior in the lobby. However, rooms are not that quite impressive given the star level.
No pool, no breakfast,Do not go there with family,
The Priceline price and convenient location for us.
TV was not functioning when we checked in on the evening of the 27th. 'NO Signal' except for Bloomberg and ESPN. Reception said it would be repaired. It started working on the morning of the 29th!!! (We stayed 2 nights).
The room was nice and the location was ideal for my work.
The pool and jacuzzi were not open due to maintenance which was annoying since the priceline bid and star rating should have produced a pool. I didn't have a bathtub which I wanted especially since the jacuzzi wasn't open.It was a beautiful hotel but although the staff was nice they didn't help me with my luggage and it was a long walk from the reception area to the room. The restaurant was very nice but pricey. The pool looked beautiful but closed.
Nifty up-scale decor.Great location, yet in the woods. Exceptionally friendly staff.
nothing open during renovation. completely ruined my grandchildrens vacationroom was dirty and staff totally dismissed us after saying they would make up for the dissapointment
