A good hotel for the money. Better than most in the area among a limited selection. Clean, friendly, moderate Wi-Fi speed, good breakfast menu (free).
I had a pleasant upstairs room that was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I appreciated having a mini-fridge in the room. A hot buffet breakfast is available (no cost), and wireless is also free. The Inn is off the 101 highway that goes through the center of town, so it was far quieter than other lodging in Willits that are directly on 101.
I booked because the web site stated 'The property amenities include fitness center'. Paying an additional fee and receiving access to a local gym doesn
This charming Inn had a great look and feel as we drove in. It is the only hotel in the town that isn't right on the Main Street - which is actually the Highway 101. So that was what attracted us - that it was set off the Hwy and quiet. The property is very well mantained and you can tell from all the plants, sitting areas, etc that someone cares and works hard to keep it nice and unique. The room was very clean, spacious and furniture, bedding, mattress all new. Hot breakfast in the morning -- hot freshly made oatmeal with toppings and a really good egg dish. Again, you could tell it was healthy and better than your 'chain' hotel breakfast. Staff was great and we would highly recommend!
Stayed September 2008. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, even printed my boarding pass for trip home. The complimentary breakfast rated top notch, with good selection of fresh food, drinks and hot coffee. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Am planning on returning this year and would not hesitate to stay again.
Great clean hotel, good amenities, knowledgable and helpful staff, eager to please and eager to help.
Just looking for a little peace and quiet off the main highway. I found it at the Baechtel Creek Inn. This is Willits CA, most hotels/motels host people that are just passing through and it shows. This hotel is a worthwhile stop on your journey. Even if you have to drive a little further to reach this spot it's worth it. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is courteous and it's set back in a quiet location. This hotel is also kid and pet friendly. It serves a modest but adequate continental breakfast. For the price you pay the spa is a real treat, don't expect the Mandarin but then again you are not paying Mandarin prices. A deep tissue massage, or some relaxing aroma therapy is just what you need to get you ready to continue your road trip, start your day off just right or end the day in total relaxation. My travels often take me to California and when I'm traveling Highway 101 I look forward to this stop.
After a long road trip from Jacksonville, Fl - having stayed in many states and many places - we loved that this hotel had a distinct personality! It was charming for one thing - we could see that in the nicer weather there are plants everywhere - a fountain in a little patio, lots of big potted plants. In other words someone cares to make this hotel special. Our room was very clean and spacious - beds super comfy! They have a spa also - but we did not have time to take advantage of it. We loved this hotel and would definitely return.
Good clean rooms, freindly staff, good place to stay if vacationing in area or just passing through.
I travel on business many days in a month. This was my first trip to Willits and this hotel was recommended to me by my co workers. Having experienced a great stay I can understand why. Beds are extremely comfortable - pillow top! Wireless internet was great. The hotel is off the road in a court, so you don't get all the Hwy 101 traffic that the other hotels seem to get since they are right on the Hwy. The staff was great, provided maps and great dinner recommendation! Basically this hotel is way above average in comfort, service and cleanliness! I definitely recommend it!
We have been wanting to come to Mendocino County for a while and decided to just take off and go with friends. We ended up in Willits because we found that it centrally located to the Coast, the Redwoods, etc. We found the Baechtel Creek Inn & Spa by a local recommendation and were thrilled at what we found! A charming place just off the Hwy in a quiet court. Attractive, updated, clean and charming ---- we loved our stay! We also got massages at the spa and found the therapists great and the spa rooms lovely - comparable to ones in the Casinos in Tahoe! All in all we had a great relaxing stay and will definitely return!
The weather was so bad I had to make an unexpected stop in Willits, Ca. I found this hotel off the road - that is what made me pull in - all the other ones were right on the road! The outside appearance is charming and so was the inside! The lobby was spacious and beautifully done - definitely not your typical roadside hotel lobby! My room - I just got the Standard - was large, clean, comfortable and the bed was absolutely heavenly - some type of pillow top mattress pad which was a treat! I was able to use the wireless internet - it worked great - and all in all I found a new place to stay on my travels!
... with a 4 star price. Don't be fooled by the pictures and description. An 'ok' place if you are passing though on a road trip--- but don't consider it for a 'spa vacation'. This is definately just a roadside hotel and the service reflects that also.
Extremely loud air conditioner & didn't work well , hard uncomfortable beds, broken faucet on sink had to wash hands & get water using bathtub faucet, mentioned broken faucet when checking out, she already knew about it - didn't seem to care. On the + side checking in staff were very nice & friendly. Would never stay again.
When we arrived we noticed ants coming out of the tv remote holder. After killing dozens, I went to tell the desk and they did come right away to spray some cleaner but they still kept coming. The air conditioning was fair and each morning after the maids did the cleaning they would turn it off so when we got back late in the day it was hot in there again. The location was great but it seems that they need to have some more maintenance.
