When we arrived our hotel room door was open, presumably to air it out as it smelled like smoke. There were no towels and when we called the front desk they said they'd get some after the laundry was done. When we returned to the room that night, still no towels. Room was less than desirable and bed was like sleeping on a cardboard box and the Internet connection didn't work half the time.
We knew this would not be a stellar motel, but figured for the price it would be fine. When checking in, we were greeted by an attendant who was genuinely irritated that we interrupted her smoke break to check us in. She was quite unwelcoming and acted as if we were planning to cause damage to our room from the get-go. When she swiped my credit card, she informed me that was 'in case you break something, then I can charge you for it' and that the hold would appear on my card and not to 'call and yell' at her because it would go away a few days later. (Duh) She informed us that breakfast was 'over there' with a wave in the general direction of the breakfast area but was 'all carbs, no protein.' The room appeared mostly clean, but all the common areas were dingy and smelled of smoke. Breakfast consisted basically of a few muffins, one type of cereal, and coffee that ran out and was very slowly replaced. The last morning we were there, it was half an hour before breakfast ended and the attendant was not going to refill anything until another guest insisted. For this price, we didn't expect a lot and were undemanding guests, but a little courtesy would have gone a long way. My husband says he's dealt with nicer people at salvage yards!
very friendly, helpful staff. good location for gas, shopping, restuarants nice and comfortable room
This hotel was clean, comfortable, and a good value for the money.
Enjoyed this hotel VERY much. Rooms were big. DirecTV in every room. Continental breakfast was always good. Coffee was EXCELLENT. I cant say enough about this hotel!!
We stayed four nights and it was a very suitable room for the price. The only glitch was one day the staff must have been distracted because they forgot to replace the towels and coffee. When my husband went to get them, the front desk person was ok, but not apologetic in any way, so that's why I gave the staff and service less than an excellent rating.
We thought we had till noon, but they told us check out time was 11:00 AM.
When I arrived at this hotel, I was early but they would not let me check in. I had to wait till check in time. Then when I was getting ready to check out and still in the room, cleaning people asked if I was leaving twice. It was right at the check out time and they were bugging me about leaving. I thought that was very tacky and it annoyed me especially after the fact that they wouldn't let me check in a bit early. Won't be staying there again. AND the breakfast is over at 9:00. Don't sleep in!
The room was small (no closet, iron only on request), but it suited our purpose. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable, which are the two most important things as far as I'm concerned. It was also very quiet, not right on the highway. The gal at the front desk was friendly.
We arrived and were assigned a room with an inoperable air conditioning unit. We were assigned another room, unfortunately, someone was already sleeping in it when I opened the door. We were assigned yet another room and, to our surprise, no one was there and the a/c unit was functioning. The staff was very kind, and sorry for the mix-up. The next morning we left early for our conference meetings and returned at about 2 p.m. and took a nap in our cleaned and made-up room before the evening meetings. The next day we left early again, for the morning meetings and returned to find our room was not made up. We were planning on taking a nap, again, before the conference meetings scheduled for that evening, but that was now impossible. We left the room;after gently expressing our annoyance that the room had not been made-up; to allow them the opportunity to finish the cleaning and bed-making chores. My wife liked the bed, I did not. That's personal preference, so you can't hold that against them. The room was small, but we didn't need a large room, anyway. The television functioned well, standard stations, a bit cryptic understanding how to use the remote, but not complaint worthy. We were given all the towels and blankets and pillows we wanted without being made to feel like we were abusing the privilege of staying at the establishment. A very nice shower and a very small toilet;a very, very, small toilet, I think a Munchkin from the Wizard of Oz would have been comfortable on it, but I was not. Yes, I would stay here again, but I might check out some other places first. If you stay here, must keep telling yourself, It's only $ bucks a night!
This is a great value hotel. The rooms were really nice and tastefully decorated, the location is beautiful and handy to services, and the staff is very accomodating. All around great place to stay.
clean and well maintained very quiet even close to freeway. Staff was great, provided help when requested and with a smile. Great bargain for the price
