The staff was very friendly, even offered me breakfast after I overslept.
Everything was great!
Could not say a bad thing about this hotel everything was truly perfection
No everything was great
The owners have completely remodeled the facility and the room we had was clean well maintained. There is an excellent breakfast bar with snacks in the main office area and you can't beat the staff for their professionalism and attention to your needs.
The only thing I didn't like was the entrance and exit to the motel. Although it is in a great location, near shopping and restaurants, there is a small grade that you have to go up when you enter and exit.
Rooms open to the outside, no elevators. This hotel is not a 2.5 stars, should be 1 or 2
Very well-kept. Staff was helpful and friendly. Free breakfast had many choices.
Nice and Clean, Quite, Internet was fast and the Breakfast was awesome
The room AC was a little loud
Not anything close to a Best Western quality at all!
Improvements over our stay in February: rooms are rooms, and the office and breakfast areas are what they're supposed to be. Friendly and helpful staff.
Our room (107) seemed to be uniquely problematic about Internet, but I was able to connect in the common area.
Friendly staff, helpful
Better than average breakfast. Friendly staff
Road Construction made getting to motel very difficult. Night work on construction project made sleep impossible. No parking for large vehicles.
The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating to our requests.
The office was under construction and somewhat hard to find.
Manager and staff were friendly.
Renovations are in progress, especially to office and other public areas (temporarily in motel rooms). Ice machine not working. Bed linens appeared old--picks and snags. HVAC very noisy. With some work, could reach 2-1/2 star quality, but not right now.
Non-smoking room but there are smoke smell when we first arrived and there are ashes right out side our room.
It was aged but pretty wel kept.
The room had a strong smoke odor (even though it was non-smoking). The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows flat. No Wifi.
The bed was comfortable.
Even though there was a thermostat, we could not raise or lower the temperature in the room
Room was not very clean... Public spaces and breakfast area were awkward... Not up to 2.5 star status
Friendly and kind staff. Cleanliness.
location. No lobby. Breakfast area in another building.
The beds were comfortable.
The bathroom was too small.
There was quick and competent service at check in and check out, which we appreciated.
It definitely did not meet our expectations as a 2 1/2 star hotel. It was more comparable to a 2 star or maybe 1 1/2 star hotel.
Great effort on the breakfast. MANY choices hot and cold and gluten free as well.
Non-smoking room smelled of smoke as soon as we opened the door. I wanted to change rooms but we were tired and ready for bed. I couldn't wait to get out into the fresh air. There were efforts of changing with new paint and carpet but it still smells.
Staff was friendly
Room was not clean, air conditioning not working properly, 2 vending machines and 1 was broke the other empty, continental breakfast was very limited with very small area to eat
Dirty. Unatractive and the dinninf area smelled bad
The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The hotel had all outside entrances on two levels. The room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Guests smoked outside their room doors on the balcony and in the stair wells. Smoke even came into the room via the air conditioner
Th elocation was just up the road from the bike ride start/finish.
There was an odd smell in the drain in the bathroom. There was a faint odor of cigarette smoke even though the room as non-smoking. Not unusual for Kentucky.
room smelled of smoke, the lobby area for breakfast was cramped and some of the breakfast foods were moldy.
fairly clean - staff was friendly
This was a disappointment for a 2 1/2 star hotel. It has been renovated, but shold only be rated a 1 1/2 to 2 stars.
The people were very nice. It was great for a one night stay just passing through.
The staff was great. The breakfast was very good too.
There was minimal parking. did not seem to be the greatest area, but the parking lot was well lit and staff was on duty all night.
Nice staff, good furniture in room
Got a smoking room as my only option. Smelled very stale
Room was in poor condition. Burn marks all over the tub. Basically not worth the cost.
The staff was very nice and the bed was comfortable
The overall room rating was not the standards of a 2 1/2 star. It was less that a 2 rating but better than a 1 rating. I would not have picked this hotel if you had not sent me to it. It should be rerated.
This hotel should not be the same star as a Hampton, or holiday Inn.
Yes, there was. We requested queen size beds and the motel was going to charge extra for them. We had already requested that through Priceliine. If they do not like us booking through Priceline, then they don't need to participate in the program.
Check in desk manager not too friendly BUT the morning staff was AWESOME!
The entire staff was great. I truly enjoyed my stay at this location. The reviews on this site are obviously from a previous era, this was a great and enjoyable stay.
Nice lady at front desk
Put us in a smoking room and said that we requested it. Never Have I ever requested a smoking room. Definitely not a 2 1/2 star level. I would give it 1 start at best
Had a fridge and microwave.
It was a dump. Smoke smelling room, cigarette burn on the blanket, yellow water when the bathtub/shower was turned on. Probably the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. TV was not situated well with the bed, and some of the cable channels fuzzy
In a bad location. VERY loud; could hear people talking in next room, outside. Also, next to road and could hear cars throughout the night.
This should not rate over 2 stars at best
Friendly desk employees
Dirty rugs, trash cans did not have plastic bags in them for cleanliness. Bathtub dirty, did not vacuum after our first day. Did not leave wash clothes for our second day.Felt it was definitely below standard for any motel.
I had to pay an extra $5 to get a non-smoking room. They said the Priceline requested a smoking room...as far as I know, there isn't a way to do that, but I don't smoke, so I would never have done that anyhow
No the worst hotel ever ever stayed at
The place had bed bugs and the owner was nonchalant about it
This was a total bust. Upon arrival, nothing is personal. You arrive to bars on a window and you stand outside at their mercy. I should have left then. It was my first tip of disaster. It got worse. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke (a non-smoking room), it was dull, old, nasty bedspreads and just dirty. I was tired and thought, I can do this. I couldn't. I left within the first 30 minutes. I am not sure I will give Best Western another chance. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Winchester and it was far beyond this hotel. AWFUL!! I am sorry that I can't give them a 0. The lady at the front was rude too.
If your looking for just a cot for the night that is off the main drag, This is your baby. It says it has been updated, Yea, To 1980 standards maybe. The front desk personell were the only highlight of the stay. Very helpful and courteous. The head of housekeeping is another story. I can read a clock, but just to be sure, she will bang on the door and let you know it is almost 11:00. Too dam pushy! Do not goto this place if you have a trailer, or a low vehicle. You will scrape on the drive, it is very short and steep. Only thing to eat in walking distance is a Burger King. Also, The pool was Brackish. If your the Creature From The Black Lagoon, dive in and feel at home!
very quaint and tucked off the main road added to the charm of the motel. The service was great very friendly
Planned 10 nights, checked in for 3 to start. 1st night man standing in front of window peaking ing window. Kids running all over after hours with no supervision. Came back from work, noooo towels in room. Woke up to noise in pool next to room well after closing of pool. Emplyee and friends kept us up. Said off clock call front desk.
