Did not have my reservation - long wait to get it straightened out
Rude manager who does not return calls and barely speaks English.
View and location were fabulous
Elevator was a bit slow. Worried initially as hotel was under renovation and was not advised when booking - but not affected by reno at all.
'Being a Canadian, and paying in American funds,in Your own country! ' Thank You
Under construction. Bar closed for reno. And the restaurant was only open in am, so no place to have drinks without leaving hotel. Booked this particular hotel because it had a bar onsite!
Was impressive. The standards were way beyond my expectations
The view was very nice...I guess it's all about the view???
The reception was slow. Checking in was so slow that the line up was out through the front doors. There was only one staff attending to about 20 guest that were checking in.
When your hotel is under renovations Don't book rooms that aren't available! Very disappointed having to go outside to get to the pool/hottub & breakfast with a 2 ur old and a 3 months old!!! Not happy with the stay because of that at all!
The breakfast that was included with our stay.
How cold all of the public spaces were on the main floor.
I liked the location, the beautiful view of the water, and it was comfortable and cozy. I also liked the pool and gym because they not massive and the water in the pool was warm. They had a good complementary breakfast.
Did not like having to pay for parking at the lot behind the hotel and have to walk outside to get into hotel. Also, did not like that the breakfast closed at 9:30 -- too early!
The pool and breakfast
They were renovating.
The location and view was great.
There were quite a few rowdy guest at the hotel that night, but they were staying on a different floor thank god.
Compare with our needs and costs, It's the best deal
The location was very convenient and had prompt service when we reported about not having hot water in the bathroom.
The room was too cold when we checked in. The elevator had a weird smell.
The location of the hotel was amazing. It's located on the riverside and my room was facing the GM towers in Detroit
Clean room. Great view. Staff was super friendly.
The parking stunk sort of and the construction was annoying but nothing that could affect the rating.
Very poor service, poor understanding and no flexibility
Clean and friendly atmosphere
Parking not being included in price.
The staff experience was beyond anything I have experienced anytime, anywhere. room, cleanliness and location were all better than expected.
parking was a little awkward on the other side of the street. No in house restaurant other than the excellent breakfast which was included. Advertising indicated an in house restaurant. Advertising indicated that breakfast was not included
Under renovation, loud, double bed, no coffee no breakfast, hotel looked neglected
Note, this hotel is now called the Waterfront hotel, and has undergone renos to update. Complimentary breakfast was great, lovely pool and hot tub.
really like how fast they were able to get us into the room
no the hotel is great I just wish the parking was free
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. The location is excellent.
The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke
We found the parking a little pricey and a fair distance away
Great view of downtown Detroit
Hotel is confusing, the hotel has been sold and the place next door is now running both. Nothing like having 2 rooms with the same number! I didn't care for the $12.00 parking fee overnight also.
location and view of river
access difficult and parking off site
Clean and great location
The staff lie to you about available rooms. I booked a king size room and the lady told me they don't have any king rooms available. When I walked back in after getting my lluggage I heard her offering a king room to a customer.
The hotel needs upgrades especially in the rooms, furniture, mattresses, washrooms, showers. The breakfast very disappointing coffee was terrible, juice not working properly.
The location of the hotel is very good area.
The room was good; however it was hard to find as the name of Windsor Riverside Inn doesn't exist. It is called Water Front Hotel and we had to spend 30 minutes to find. It is the same owner but not the same advertised hotel.
The info in the web site was misleading and not accurate.
The view was nice. Close to everything.
It was old, the name of hotel was different from the one I booked online. Wallpaper was peeling. It was more like a residence than a hotel.
