Reserved a room with 2 dbL beds was given a room 1 dbL bed. Why reserve if it is switched by staff. Was overcharged not charged on line rate.
It was older and they had updated it and it was clean.
Name is misleading. I thought it was the national chain Sleep Inn which I have stayed in before and enjoyed my stays. In a neighborhood that was on the decline.Alot of skatchy young people at the motel and in the area.
the staff and service
Clean small room, but good enough for one person or couple.Staff is glad to help.
bath room door can not be closed fully.needs to be fixed
It was very close to a lot of attractions that we were going to visit.
Not at all
Very clean, staff was great at anything we needed.
The cleaning staff was exceptional. Actually put my own toiletries back in my pack. Cleaned the floor of the dirty snow I tracked in. The staff noticed I had unplugged the microwave to use the outlet, and the next day put in a power strip.
I stayed during a Canadian February. The room needed a bigger mat for wet boots/shoes, although the cleaning staff cleaned the slush that I tracked. It was a bit cold in the room. Laundromat did not have soap in its dispensary - lost my dollar.
We loved this place. The maid service was outstanding, gave us extras of whatever we needed. The beds were very comfortable. It is not luxurious by any means, but it is clean and quaint. It is not a fancy place, but it is very cozy and quiet.
Booked through them directly and found absolutely no problem with the trip. The room I was in was pretty neat yet simple. They just a queen size bed, a couch, a study table and a well maintained bathroom. Being a very fuzy person, I always check the bathroom first before I stay in any room. They had basic necessities like TV, WiFi and the best part was that the AC was working perfectly fine, all the time. Security wise everything was fine and parking was a no big deal. The service was actually the best part of my stay. The family who owns this place, really went an extra mile to help me. I forgot my cell phone charger at home so they gave me a new one for nothing. I thought it was up to my standard and I found everything in proper working order. The only thing which I did not like is their exterior was out of date i.e. parking lot, paint etc. Rest everything was perfect and I will definately be going back there.
The owner of the establishment impressed me, however, that was the only element of this hotel that did. The hallways look like something out of the matrix, with the peeling paint and swinging lightbulbs. Several clusters of young people were sitting in the parking lot watching me unpack my car, as apparently the only adult EVER to spend the night here. The rooms themselves are nice, they appear to be old studio apartments. However, the atmosphere poisoned what would otherwise have been an excellent experience. I definitely do NOT recommend this for anyone single or anyone with children. I can't quite bring myself to go to sleep here, nor to stop looking out the window to make sure no one does anything to my car.
I travelled with my wife in the month of December 2008 and choose this place beacuse of the location because our relatives live near to them. The staff there was so generous that instead of one double bed, they gave us one queen size bed which was quiet comfortable. The room was neat, clean and looked fairly upto date. The best part was that the hot water shower pressure was excellent and my internet worked all the time and that's what i really demanded. Not only that, we had the Devonshire Breakfast at the restaurant which was absolutely delicious. Therefore, our stay there was just perfect and I do recommend people to go there and enjoy themselves. ''Good staff Good service Good food''
What a trip! Had a blast there. The place was just perfect what iI needed. Internet was just fine and the room I was in was clean and looked like newly renovated. Very nice people to deal with. Will certainly go back there.
If you are looking for a room that's smaller and dirtier then your bedroom, Devinshire is the place for you. The whole room smelled like lemon lysol and it seemed as if they just took the whole room and sprayed it down with lysol. We used 2 of 3 rooms the night we stayed, despite not using one room the owner made us pay for it. The pool was absolutelly discuisting, it looked green and no one wanted to even try going in. If you want to have a fun time in Windsor, don't stay here. It looks like the hotel from the movie vacancy and the owner is creepy like him. I would never would stay here again even if it were free. You could pay me and I wouldn't do it.
This was a nasty, dirty place. Paint was peeling, carpet filthy and Rude management. Did not want to work with me to refund money. Uninhabitable.
