Alaska Airlines offers direct flights to Hawaii from California

Wed Nov 11 2009

Great news for northern California residents! Alaska Airlines just launched their first service to Maui from Oakland this Monday. Nonstop flights to Maui are available Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The off days will feature a nonstop flight from Oakland to Kona.

Other northern California departure cities are also in the plans for 2010. San Jose will offer routes starting March 11. Sacramento will offer direct-to-Maui flights starting March 26. In fact, if you go to Alaska Airlines site, you can reserve introductory fares from Sacramento and San Jose starting at just $169 one way. Book the tickets before November 24th to enjoy these introductory fares.
Traveling to paradise just got that much affordable. Remember, Maui was voted the top island in the world by the Conde Nast Traveler 2009 Readers Choice Awards. You are reminded of how special Maui really is the second you land, because as you descend the escalator to the baggage claim, a huge banner reads, “Welcome to the best island in the world.” It’s hard not to get chills down your spine!
